Ukip will win 3-4 more seat, then the Tories will get to choose what to do so will just say to LDs let's do it again.

Then 66% more cuts will start.

That's a bit pessimistic! Perhaps we could try to avoid it?

Can you usually foresee the future? I hope you've got it wrong this time.

Leafitout · 30/03/2015 17:59

A lot will change if the Tories win. It's bad enough waiting fourteen months for a personal independence payment answer only to be turned down, and appeal. They do not want to help the sick, single parents and women. They are here to make life hard and it is going to get worse if they get in again

meglet · 30/03/2015 18:01

I'm tying to figure out what I can sell to raise funds if the tories get in again.

lostincumbria · 30/03/2015 18:06

With the seats the Tories & LibDems will lose, very unlikely that it will be the same government after the election. Tories will need UKIP and DUP support at least. Most likely forecast is a Labour minority government supported for most Bills by the SNP.

WetAugust · 30/03/2015 18:10

I'm sick of it too.

It's the lies I cannot stand. If we are to reduce the deficit the Govt will have to raise taxes/makes cuts. They are lying if they tell us they won't.

Almost everything they tell us they will do they cannot do anyway as their hands are tied by EU, ECJ, HRA, ........

Yes-if the Tories get in again a lot will change-particularly for the sick and disabled and anyone caring for them. Beware!

longfingernails · 30/03/2015 18:33

If we have a Labour government supported by SNP, we would have an immigration free for all, no EU referendum, far more subsidies and public sector non-jobs for Scotland as Sturgeon/Salmond hold Miliband to ransom, anti-business policies, higher taxes, higher unemployment, higher deficits etc.

NobbyNobs · 30/03/2015 18:36

The idea of leaving the EU terrifies me. It's the only thing standing between Tories/UKIP and our human rights. I like our human rights.

HesterShaw · 30/03/2015 18:40

The idea of leaving the EU also terrifies me, not only for the human/business element, but leaving it would also give those in power and the fishing industry to absolutely trash our environment. All environmental protection currently comes from Europe. It would be goodbye to most of our wildlife if we leave.

From a UK perspective the thought of the SNP holding the balance of power alarms. My best case scenario would be a Lab/Lib/Green (assuming they hold onto their seat or even gain more) Coalition.

longfingernails · 30/03/2015 18:45

We can leave the ECHR without leaving the EU. I hope it happens. We are the country of the Magna Carta, and Westminster is the Mother of Parliaments. Why should some Eurocrat with nothing to do with Britain decide to give prisoners the vote, or whether we can deport an illegal immigrant?

WetAugust · 30/03/2015 18:59

We were the country of Magna Carta - until the Tories ratified the European Arrest Warrant.

All the current polls look like a con lib co is the likely result, I'll revisit this thread after but I have a funny feeling it will stay the same

Our turnout locally at the last poll was 44%. A lot more might change if people actually got out and voted.

DoraGora · 31/03/2015 21:53

Getting the vote out is a political procedure that hasn't really translated in the UK. The problem with either David or Ed, is that neither of them has fixed my roads, mended my school and my local hospital has closed. Endlessly promising to do it all in the next parliament (and bring me breakfast in bed) just adds a slap in the face, to a poor local school, surrounded by broken glass, a 45 minute drive to A&E and pot holes as far as the eye can see.

You want me to vote for that?

stoopstoconker · 31/03/2015 22:04

just for info.

pick and mix manifestos

Huh? You obviously know nothing about snp policies eg pro business, lower corporation tax, lower air passenger duty.
