to be exasperated at my brother and SIL's stupid actions?

To give a full background history. My brother and SIL bought a puppy when they were renting and it was against the landlords rules to have pets. Landlord found out and so they got rid of the puppy which was now grown up.

This angered me because there was always a chance of them getting caught and having to give up the dog. Obviously also annoyed me because the dog was no longer a puppy and therefore not desirable iyswim

Moved elsewhere, and got a new dog. Then start the FB updates about what a massive mistake the dog was, it was destructive, it couldn't be left alone, wish we'd never got it etc.

They also have two young children.

I have logged onto FB now to see photos of "aww look how cute our new puppy is!"

They still have the other dog but I'm literally [shocked] that you can moan for months on end about having a dog and then get a new puppy.

Yanbu that's really sad. Poor first dog! Do they look after them okay when they have them?

Some people are idiots, OP. You're definitely NBU to be exasperated with them. I also feel a bit ragey about people who take on pets then give up them up through inconvenience, stupidity or lack of commitment to their needs.

I don't really see them (we don't live close) but the second dog seems fine.

I just can't believe the amount of moaning about having the dog and then to get a puppy that they will have to train .... Confused
