I remember the days of my youthfulness (I am an old and craggy 26 now BTW) where I would put on my sauciest/series/prettiest matching bra and knickers and have a secret smile on my face knowing that only I knew.

Well this evening I have recreated that feeling! I am sat with dp and he has NO IDEA that this very evening, post shower, I found a pair of ginormous maternity cotton pants (the ones you buy to contain the brick sized mat pads post birth, come in a 5 pack from Marks and you only use 3? Those) and I have put them on instead of my normal, French knicker type ones.

And only I know!! They come up to just under my Boobs and it is bliss, SO COMFY.

So there you go. That is the reason for my secret smile tonight Grin

I'm sure your dp will be delighted once he sees them Wink

No pants are comfy. I haven't worn them for 30 years. They strangle my undercarriage.

TheImprobableGirl · 24/03/2015 20:16

I may have to whip these off Bridget Jones style should anything amorous develop!! Wink

Ha!
I bought a 5 pack of plain black knickers from primark last week and they were fabulous.

Every time I wore a pair, a inwardly said 'these are lovely big knickers'.

So comfortable, and lovely.

Beat £2.50 I've ever spent Grin.

mayaknew · 24/03/2015 21:14

I had asda ones for last pregnancy but I keep seeing the marks ones on mumsnet so I will definitely be buying them for the next one GrinGrin

hestialou · 24/03/2015 21:16

I need to go shopping and get some of those, tbh dh would love me in anything so long as I stop wearing his oh so comfy boxer shorts!

Dollyemi · 24/03/2015 21:19

Ha ha, I almost confessed this exact thing last week! The arrival of my m&s 5 pack of belly warming knickers was in fact the highlight of my day. There. I said it! I gleefully threw them into my hospital bag.

TheImprobableGirl · 24/03/2015 22:28

Haha the1 year old is teething (a...gain) and the 4 year old is menacing (a...gain) I am most definitely haggard and craggy!!!

But bloody comfy Grin

I am definitely going to refer to them as 'belly warmers' from now on!

IrmaGuard · 25/03/2015 00:27

They're proper pants, aren't they? Knickers are little frothy lacy things, pants are enormous cotton passion killers. I just hope I don't ever get run over by a bus.

I have to say the best not-soooo-bad-every-day pants I have are tescos high legged knickers in a size up! Certainly not saucy but definitely not hideous. AND they are £2.50 for FIVE pairs!
