Teenagers taking drugs near our house

Name change in case the details out me.

At the back of our house is a large playing field of which half is used by the local school for football and the other half by the local cricket club. At weekends it is also used by several junior football teams. The field is also used for general recreational purposes such as dog walking, running.

The big problem is that in the summer, small groups of local teenagers have taken to meeting up in the evenings. I don't have a problem with teens. But they are leaving a lot of litter from their drinking/fast food, and also from their very obvious drug taking. They are smoking marijuana and also some of them are taking something I presume is ecstasy. I have found small pill bags with hearts printed on and other small bags which look like they have contained other drugs, though I think their littering winds me up more than the occasional stench of skunk floating through the summer evening air. We have tried politely asking them to take their litter with them and they just "helpfully" bagged it up in a carrier bag and left that.

I am torn between reporting it to the police on 101, or do I phone the council and report anti-social behaviour? Or do I just ignore it and hope that they eventually find somewhere else. The behaviour has started early this year so we have months of this ahead of us.

So less an AIBU and more a WWYD?
