Getting hooked on old MN threads...

Have you ever started reading an old MN thread... and got hooked?

Like the one I was reading a few minutes ago. An old AIBU thread that started out benign, with most people actually supporting the OP until she dropped a pretty big bombshell hundreds of replies down the line. It created a hell of a plot twist, and people realised the OP was a really little bonkers. Shock

I couldn't help but read it all...

Link?

TwoAndTwoEqualsChaos · 23/03/2015 21:27

If it was in Classics, at least you knew it was old; it is frustrating to get addicted to what one thinks is a current thread, only to find, at the very end, it has been resurrected to no purpose.

MillieV · 23/03/2015 21:30

Here

But as said... you really need to read it to the end, because the beginning is quite normal...

I found it by googling... didn't expect the plot twist.

Ooh I just read it. Didn't see that coming!

Wonder what happened in the end, where she is now?

MillieV · 23/03/2015 21:55

Phoenixrose314 Me, too... My face was literally like this... Shock Confused and then vocally... WTF?

It's prime soap opera material.

And I don't even watch soap operas...

Which thread!!!?

Sunshinesunflower · 23/03/2015 21:58

I think it's unpleasant to delve it up actually.

She was obviously depressed.

VenusRising · 23/03/2015 22:00

I agree sunshine, TAAT and all that.

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky · 23/03/2015 22:01

Yup, all the time.

It's one of my guilty pleasures.

Beth2511 · 23/03/2015 23:05

Reading old ones is definitely a guilty pleasure!

Mintyy · 23/03/2015 23:07

Well well.

AWholeLottaNosy · 23/03/2015 23:10

I hate it when I read a great thread and then realise it's a zombie thread! Also when you never find out what happened in the end. But there are some fantastic old threads to get hooked on, just would like an update sometime!

The one where someone was trying to post a link to an M&S dress was hillarious! And there was a great one about appalling interview experiences...

whothehellknows · 23/03/2015 23:29

I think the interview thread made it into classics. I always go and nose about in there if the other boards aren't up to much.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 23/03/2015 23:32

When I need cheered up I read the Pearl Barley thread. And Hot Tits.

florentina1 · 24/03/2015 07:18

Many happy hours reading, LemonDrizzle cake, Penis Beaker and the 'Elderly Korean Lady in my Backyard.

MillieV · 24/03/2015 07:25

Oh... the "Elderly Korean Lady in my Backyard" looks to be a great read!

I love going on classics and reading a good long thread with a hot drink. The penguin date one was my favourite.
