A lady posted this morning asking after baby items for sale. someone asked what she was having, how far along is she etc etc so eventually she just said she is looking for her younger sister who has just left an abusive partner while 32 weeks pregnant and is now living in sheltered housing, cue lots of members offering stuff for free/extremely cheap. This lady was refusing freebies and saying "No i dont want free or dirt cheap i just want to buy some things for my sister to help her out and cant afford shop prices, thank you all the same though ladies i do appreciate the offer" another woman comes along saying "there is no sheltered housing in X, People check this ladies credentials before handing over anything because it stinks. for all you know shes hear asking for freebies to sell on" The OP replied with "Yes, there is, there is sheltered housing everywhere. my sister is not in a refuge, She is under sheltered housing sorted out via -Charity name- they have access to housing all over the UK, I do understand your concerns and they are valid to an extent however you will see that I am not asking for freebies, will not accept freebies and have already bought 2 items off people off here today" however now this OP has been jumped on by another 2 ladies calling her all the names under the sun for exploiting victims of DV, this woman clearly doesn't know where to put herself and has had the comments removed by an admin but they keep going and OP has said she will be deleting the post as soon as she can get on a PC. AIBU to think these people are really foul? WIBU to say something? would you?
