To think the shops stock easter eggs months in advance so people eat them and have to restock?

That's what I'm telling myself anyway, the maltesers egg I bought for DS is calling me and I'm trying to normalise scoffing it. Would it be wrong and greedy to open it and replace it tomorrow? DS will be non the wiser.

I've eaten so many Easter eggs already :( there is something about chocolate when it is egg shaped that makes it even more scrummy! Mini eggs Easter egg in my local tesco for £1.50, I don't even pretend I'm buying it for anyone!

chocolatereindeer · 19/03/2015 20:57

Of course they do!
YANBU maltesers are delicious.

thatsn0tmyname · 19/03/2015 20:57

Having just woofed a Roses's egg whilst watching Master chef, Id have to agree.

CalleighDoodle · 19/03/2015 21:00

You shouldnt be eating them in lent anyway! Have some self control (she says eating an easter egg she hid from the children all evening...)

Tittyboobjugs · 19/03/2015 21:00

It does taste better in egg form, I've just broken it in half, it's got a lump of really thick chocolate along the seam, I feel I have made the right choice.

I've just realised there was a seven minute interval between my posts, it took all of 6 minutes for my will to crack.

I bought 15 large Easter eggs when they were half price last week. I have eight left. By the time Easter comes round I will be a lot fatter and a lot poorer.

londonrach · 19/03/2015 21:05

Morrisons is selling eggs for £1. Ive already gone through two..

Seriouslyffs · 20/03/2015 10:21
Shock
monsterfaery · 20/03/2015 10:32

Actually I think the main reason is so that come the time most people are buying them they can claim that they have massively reduced the price, conning people into buying more than they would because they think their getting a bargain, when the manufacturers are still making a much larger profit than they would on a regular bar of chocolate.

meglet · 20/03/2015 10:36

of course they do. I eat mini eggs most days fro. Jan to April.

Donthate · 20/03/2015 10:38

I have no self restraint but I have never eaten an Easter Egg before Easter Sunday you greedy egg stealers GrinWink

Woahbodyforrrrm · 20/03/2015 10:42

Yes it is one big oval shaped ploy. Two eggs down here. My diets going well not !!

silveroldie2 · 20/03/2015 10:45

Duh! Of course they do (she says stuffing her face with latest Easter egg) Grin.

PuntasticUsername · 20/03/2015 10:51

Over the last few weeks I've been responsible for the demise of many poor, innocent little Malteaster bunnies. But that's ok, right, that's what you're supposed to do? It's not like eggs? They're fair game for the whole period?

Unidentifieditem · 20/03/2015 10:53

It has never occurred to me to eat them before Easter. I think I'd also be sick from so much chocolate- once I start Id have to polish off the whole thing.

demystified · 20/03/2015 13:01

I bought a Ferrero Rocher one for my wife weeks ago and it's gone. She hasn't mentioned getting another one yet. It cost a tenner as well.
