Depends.
Would he secretly be pleased you turned up or would it put him off?

Tbh I'm not sure so, I'm hiding just outsideGrin at Christmas I hid behind a pillar in church His music teacher is on my side. He's happy to perform but only in front of strangers I've heard him through the bedroom door, he's really quite good.

I don't allow my children to 'forbid' me anything. They are not in charge of me. I am the adult, I say what goes.

How old is he?

I would sneak in.

i once begged my mum not to come to come to a school concert. i had a solo but i thought i wasnt very good and didnt want to show myself up. i actually gave a really good performance and got an ovation. ive always regretted that my mum didnt see it. i went on to sing publicly many more times in bands etc and she saw me often but it still stings that i made her miss that one. sneak in!!

Sneak in on the stage and do a number. He'll get over it Grin

He's 14. Think there's a bit of teenage angst going on, he does get really nervous. Has never really done much performing but wanted to do GCSE music though so has had to get over it.
Forbid is maybe too strong a word, he did say please don't come mum and you're definitely not coming are you?
