People that everyone knows on mumsnet. Do you remember posters names?

OP posts:
fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 20/03/2015 08:25

I remember you grey lady. And most posters on this thread too.

echt · 20/03/2015 08:29

I remember you greylady.

I recognise all the names but only remember a few personalities, like Usual, Ledkr or Sparkling. I'm surprised if I find myself disagreeing with Worra. I have no idea how people can recognise a posting style!

I've ncd at least 12 times since joining 4 years ago and regret it - I like being anonymous but not invisible.

Thanks folks I shall now Woooooo happily :)

I am definitely aware of your presence, greylady and like your posts. Happy Birthday!

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/03/2015 10:53

Glad someone finally mentioned usual! She is one of the first regular posters I noticed when joining MN and is still very prolific.

TiggyD · 20/03/2015 10:59

I tend to remember poster's names, but not what they've posted before, or whether or not I like them.

magimedi · 20/03/2015 11:04

I remember a lot of posters' names & certainly yours, thegreylady.

Have a lovely birthday. Cake Wine Flowers

Emmeline - Pinot has not been on MN for some time now - though I think people still put out call-outs for her, if someone finds a newborn kitten that needs caring for - because she found a cat and her kittens in her garden, but the cat ran off, and Pinot raised the kittens herself (iirc one did not make it, but the others were fine, thanks to her excellent mothering).

Nabootique · 20/03/2015 11:16

I remember posters who make me laugh, so Honeydragon sprung to mind first. Also squoosh, AnyFucker and Worra.

Jackieharris · 20/03/2015 11:17

The ones I remember are

riven, lynettescavo, frothy, dittany, lrd, elephants, basil, sgm, prettybird, weegiemum, expat, anyfucker, Xenia, secondcoming, mmelindor, loudlass.

I don't think any of them are still around-well maybe under name changes.

WorraLiberty · 20/03/2015 11:26

I've got a terrible memory when it comes to names, but there is something quite comforting about seeing regulars dotted about in threads, whether I agree with their POV or not.

Pagwatch · 20/03/2015 11:44

Seeing names that are familiar just feels like walking into your regular rather than passing through Starbucks to me.

I've never really considered name changing until some absolute cunt trawled through my old posts to find stuff I'd posted about my son a few weeks ago.
I also get the occasional 'I'm surprised at you Pagwatch' as if I always have to post in a certain tone. Sometimes I'm on here pissed off . Or pissed. Or pissing about.

A lot of the first names I recognised left with the Moldies debacle. [old]

Mrsjayy · 20/03/2015 11:49

Somebody once said to be I was like a comfortable cardigan on a thread I wasn't sure how to take it

This ^^ definitely!

bumbleymummy · 20/03/2015 12:06

Yes, I 'recognise' quite a few names. Some for good reasons and others for not so good reasons :)

I post under other names occasionally but this is my main one and I've had it for years.

Pag, don't change! You're one of my 'familiar faces'. Just ignore the stalkers Wink

bumbleymummy · 20/03/2015 12:07

Comfortable cardigans are the best thing ever Mrsjayy. I would take it as a compliment :)

Balaboosta · 20/03/2015 12:23

ourvrye is the one to watch on special needs and pagwitch can be relied on as a voice of reason

Balaboosta · 20/03/2015 12:26

...sorry tried to post this earlier and now it's come out of context. Posters over on multiples are legendary to me as well - looking at you triplets and shabba

Balaboosta · 20/03/2015 12:29

(If they pick this up though they'll be mystified because I used to post there under a different name - to do with accordions... Only done one NC, which was when we all ended up facebook-connected and I wanted a clean slate)

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 20/03/2015 12:43

Crikey I think if I listed all the MN names I recognise it would be at least a hundred. Or two hundred. Seriously loads over the years. Lots have left or NC though.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 20/03/2015 12:44

I might do a spreadsheet......

arethereanyleftatall · 20/03/2015 13:06

Oooh just remembered, I like Pictish too and macdoodle and the other doctor from nz. Hicdraconis? And kungfupanda. And castlemilk.

bodingading · 20/03/2015 13:08

It depends on where you read I think. If I were to start listing names I associate with MN...

Pagwatch, Hully, Hecate, SecondComing, Anyfucker, AtYourCervix, MardyBra, scottishmummy, Xenia, BuffytheReasonableFeminist, ArcheryAnnie, AmberNectarine, mignonette, FrugalFashionista, RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie , StatisticallyChallenged, marriedinwhite, SolidGoldBrass, claig, PigletJohn, fuzzpig, noddyholder, TrinityRhino, Solo, Trills, MrsDeVere, PacificDogwood, usualsuspect, expatinscotland, Beachcomber, dittany, kim147, EatShitDerek, WorraLiberty, Stratter5, DawnDonna, Dooinmecleanin, Peachy, Riven

You could probably work out the forums I read! (And the ones I do not.)
