to think it shouldn't take a month to take me to court for contact?

I had to stop contact for DD with her father on the advice of childrens services. This was a month ago and there's still no word from him regarding a court date. I know he won't disappear and not seek contact so IMO he's deliberately taking his time so DD might forget his actions/speak more favourably of him because she hasn't seen him for a long time. Am I being impatient and unreasonable to think we should have a court date by now, does it take this long?

It can take months to get a date. Bet he's not even done the paperwork.

When DP applied for his DC he had a date (that was 4 weeks away, but at least it was sorted) within a week butthat was in a ddifferent county - not sure if it varies?
