It's not painful any more (was excruciating at first), but now I can't hear, and my balance has been affected so that I feel like I'm wandering around in an unsteady daze. And I have no idea how long it will take to repair:-( AIBU to feel a bit sorry for myself? Have been trying to find out if it is likely to start improving gradually or if it will suddenly just be ok again, but without success.

I had this a few years ago and it took 4 weeks to heal. I am now into week 6 of another one and totally deaf in one ear and it's awful. Fed up too - so I'll join your club!

Thank you. That's not good to hear (sorry - pun unintended!).
