Aibu to be upset my sunday 8pm viewing has no longer...(top gear)

Its sunday, its 8pm and because clarkson has been abit silly and said things or done things he shouldn't have my one day of tv viewing is ruined! I only pay the tv licence because of top gear and countryfile. Dh and i have flicked through free view and found some indian special on dave.....but its not the same. Why couldnt the bbc have just played the two episodes they recorded.... Ok i know there are mntters who hate clarkson (including my dad, not a mntters, as far as im aware, just hates clarkson, stupid boy comment was mentioned, think hes watching wrong programme or got mixed up with dads army) but i need top gear!!!!!!!!!!!!! I work hard and find ir funny, relaxing and part of my sunday. I am being unreasonable aren't i!(heads for the wine..)

We don't watch top gear in this house, the DSS's are into cars but none of them seem to like it.

The musketeers on the other hand was sorely missed on Friday night. I know it was RND but i still moped around for a bit and drank wine

YANBU. I'm not into cars in the least but I love Top Gear. Makes me laugh out loud sometimes which not a lot else on TV does. It'll die on its arse without JC.

Sorry but you are bu, if only for loving Top Gear. Its been unfunny drivel for years. As for what Clarkson did, he has assaulted a person. He deserves to be sacked, he's not above anyone. Other BBC presenters have been sacked for less. Each to their own I guess, I'm super grumpy at the moment, our internet is out (using my precious mobile data) and I haven't caught up with this weeks Only Connect .

Get on Dave they are making a big thing about how TG isnt banned. One of their links is the dictionary definition of Fracas followed by "Dave, the only channel with TG at 8pm Sunday". Its the TG India special tonight, starting on Dave ja vu in 15 minutes.

Says who? Your sentence should read "As for what Clarkson did, he has allegedly assaulted a person" JC, who reported the incident, has said he didnt punch anyone and the producer has said nothing at all. You dont know what happened.

Didn't fancy the India special. We do have the others but it means digging out the DVDs. Yes JC is an arse but he's an entertaining arse. Can't even fall back on Call The Midwife. Hoping normal service is resumed soon.

DS age 11 loves Top Gear so is also disappointed tonight!
Clarkson is alleged to have assaulted someone. If I was in that position at work, I'd be suspended pending investigation and rightly so.

What really surprises me is 1000s of people signing a petition to have him re-instated before there's an outcome. Who knew so many people condone alleged acts of violence?!

My apologies, that's the information I had read thus far and I had heard no denials. Of course I meant 'allegedly'. He's still a bullying old fart who thinks racist jokes and pissing off entire countries is a-ok because its Top Gear. MN surprises me, if he had a 'fracas' with a woman because his dindins wasn't apparently right, this place would have him hung, drawn and quartered before the facts even saw light. Again, with the petition from the public. Why is this jackass apparently untouchable? As I said, any other BBC presenter would have been sacked, but Clarkson will probably get a bloody pay rise to save the tripe that is Top Gear.

For goodness sake it's only a light entertainment programme, not the second coming. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone with all this 'Top Gear's not on, my life's over' whining.

Sunday night just isnt the same without TG.

Should have watched the canal boat programme with Prunella Scales & Timothy West instead. It's really interesting.
