...to think my OH is making a meal of.....making a meal.

For my first cooked-by-DH meal this year I ordered the intricate dish of smoked salmon n scrambled eggs and bagels! An hour ago!

A frantic deep clean of the kitchen ensued, the delicate task of scrubbing every minute germ off the counters, every molecule of life off the walls? My lazy husband has suddenly developed OCD.

I can now hear dramatic bangings about and the irritable sweeping of floors etc.

But I'm starving.

Can you sneak a snack out?

Tbh if my dp was procrastinating by cleaning the kitchen so throughly I wouldn't be in a hurry to stop him. I would consider a growling stomach small price to pay!

Ask him to run you a bubble bath + candles later - he might spring clean the bathroom too Grin

Yes, as long as it's not my present!

He's slicing the bagels oh so carefully.....with the skill of a master craftsman. I've been told it will be ready soon.....

Think I can hear teapot noises......hmmmmmm mm

Ask him to plump the cushions in the sitting room later - clean sitting room.
To set the table for lunch/supper - clean dining room.

So yes YABU - enjoy it! though next year remember, plan ahead and sneak a snack upstairs the night before to keep you going Grin

GooodMythicalMorning · 15/03/2015 11:27

Hopefully it'll be worth the wait. Grin

Dontknow87 · 15/03/2015 12:27

Maybe he's trying to lay the eggs himself...

BankWadger · 15/03/2015 13:25

Your husband has not developed OCD just because he's cleaning the kitchen.

LividofLondinium · 15/03/2015 13:58

Go to the kitchen and make yourself a sandwich while you're waiting Wink

My ex once made Sunday lunch (some chicken and egg Caribbean concoction) for us. It involved using pretty much every pan I owned and spending 2 hours slaving away doing god knows what Confused It was nice, but flippin 'eck, what was he doing in there!?Confused
