Anyone else think ed is just what the country could do with. He's not bothered by the way he looks and image, he just gets on with it. The son of polish immigrants so has had to work his way up. Went to a rough London comprehensive school, the same as urban band n dubs! Hes promising a better deal to the young and to stop the savage cuts. I can't think of any good reason not vote for him.

People go on about him having two kitchens and looking funny when eating a sand wedge. But he and his wife have had to work for two kitchen and o think good for them. We all look dodgy eating too!

Since whe did ed work his way up? He wouldn't know reality of it slapped him in the face. He stabbed his bother in the back & then he blamed his mother/father for his inheritance tax evasion - he has all the qualities of a party leader.

BakewellSlice · 14/03/2015 21:58

Having reread OP I think it's a Tory posting.

Crocodopolis · 14/03/2015 22:01

looking funny when eating a sand wedge

Anyone would like funny eating a wedge of sand.

But if you're trying to sell Miliband to me as either A Man of the People or someone with leadership qualities, I am afraid that you did not succeed.

richthegreatcornholio · 14/03/2015 22:20

Tories look after themselves and their rich mates.

And long may it continue!

Cherriesandapples · 14/03/2015 22:28

Yes, let's vote for the party that closed more hospital beds than Thatcher's reign, let so many people to this country that the poor people have no where now to live, raided pensions, sold off the gold, mortgaged our schools and hospitals and wasted money left, left, and left again. Oh yeah, I forgot the illegal war that has lead to many UK deaths (mainly poor white kids though so okay - less for the housing waiting lists) as well as many deaths of innocent people in Iraq and Afgahistan. Oh go on, you've convinced me, we need a change don't we, you know just when the economy is recovering and people ard getting back to work and all.....

Sallyingforth · 14/03/2015 22:42

You could compare him to Angela Merkel of Germany. She looks genuine in every situation I've seen her in e.g. supporting her country at the World Cup

Yep, I'd vote for her.
Hell, I'd go out and bang on doors to campaign for her.
Merkel for PM!

Sallyingforth · 14/03/2015 22:44

Cherries
You forgot it was the party that closed more mines than Thatcher.

Justanotherlurker · 14/03/2015 22:55

bakewellslice

Come on, there is hardline partisan voters on either side - stupid posts doesn't automatically mean opposition shill.

Both ardent team supporters will not see any nuance in the debate, and I'm yet to see a pro stupid conservative op have any form of reply which insinuates a labour shill.

I sense your trying to employ some kind of confirmation bias.

BakewellSlice · 14/03/2015 23:00

It was a vain hope on my part.

ChablisTyrant · 14/03/2015 23:04

I preferred his brother but I'm warming to ed. I don't know whether he'll be a good prime minister but we've got to reign in the huge increases in income inequality. He's the only one talking about this.

didyouwritethe · 14/03/2015 23:14

Think you'll find the Greens and smaller parties are talking more consistently about income inequality. You'll find plenty of choice on the ballot paper.

From the left point of view, you could argue that he'll crash the economy much quicker, leading to a genuine crisis which could return a Greek-style govt. Or a far-right one.

didyouwritethe · 14/03/2015 23:24

One of the main problems with him (and Balls) crashing the economy is that they will be doing it under the misappropriated banner of socialism. So a far-right reaction would be more likely than a leftist response as in Greece.

That was all the selfish Tony and the idiot Gordon what done that! They were virtually Tory.

Ed is a chance for a real change, and a real labour party.

londonrach · 15/03/2015 07:04

Yabu he gives me the creeps. I wouldnt trust him any further than i can throw him. Mind you i dont think i trust many in Westminster. Mnhq and mntters for government!

Tiredemma · 15/03/2015 07:06

I am a labour supporter but I am so unconvinced by EM as a leader.

BMW6 · 15/03/2015 07:12

Seriously OP - are you on glue ?????? Hmm

chilephilly · 15/03/2015 07:29

Goodness me. I seem to have stumbled into the Conservative with UKIP Tendencies Club.

very worried by some of the selfishness here, especially by the "And long may it continue" comment

BabyGanoush · 15/03/2015 08:16

The most selfish crony-helping self-serving politician Britain has ever had is Tony Blair. Labour.

didyouwritethe · 15/03/2015 09:56

Very worried to see anybody still in denial about the lying, self-serving nature of Labour Party politicians, particularly at the very top of the party. Sad

AlPacinosHooHaa · 15/03/2015 10:49

YY and we kept him in for so long, maybe we cannot be trusted to vote Sad even his old pals have turned on him and said he is a maniac.

derxa · 15/03/2015 11:00

Old Two Jags Prescott has now said that our wars in Iraq etc are causing the radicalisation of young Muslims here. Really!! Who would have thought it. Blair attending that service to honour the dead soldiers in Afghanistan made me feel sick. No politicians seem to have sent their offspring to fight (please correct me if I'm wrong). Their children go to the best schools and have cushy jobs waiting for them after university.

didyouwritethe · 15/03/2015 11:03

Their children have safe Labour seats waiting for them after they have been special advisers for a year or so. That way the path to the Lords is clear.

I don't know how that man sleeps at night.

He doesn't. He turns back into his real self at midnight and haunts military graveyards.

clam · 15/03/2015 13:44

Merkel for PM!

The more we shackle ourselves to Europe, she might as well be.
