AIBU to sacrifice bedroom floor space for a super king bed

We have a standard double bed 4ft6 wide. Recently slept in a super king 6ft wide and it was vastly preferable. Just measured up and changing to a super king would leave us with just about room for a bedside cabinet and a few inches to the wall on one side and clearance for dressing room door on the other. We could go up to a king size 5ft bed as a compromise but seems like a lot of effort/expense to buy new bed, mattress and bedding to only gain 6 inches! AIBU to put bed space above floor space?

Love my superking bed! We live in a tiny Victorian terraced house and actually have to edge round it to leave the room. Wouldn't be without it though. DH is miles away with his snorting and throat-clearing!

My dh insisted on getting a super king bed a while back. For me personally there isn't that much difference from the queen sized we had before. Neither of us are super super tall and we're both pretty skinny, so it does feel pretty ridiculous to me sometimes. But I could understand it more if someone snored, or was a massive bed hog or whatnot.

I'd say floor space is okay in yr situation if you don't need a wardrobe. Plus less space to have to Hoover?

I got the smaller room when I moved house (DD's got the bigger) and I have a kingsize bed and with my furniture in the room I have quite a bit of space left.

I went from co sleeping with both DD's in a single bed (don't ask how) to co sleeping with both in a king size. I am now thinking of a super king as it will be so much better. We don't touch each other in the kingsize unless both DD's decide that a star shape is better position.

With a super king I will have just enough room to get dressed but it would mean more bed so I think it will be better. If there is not enough room to get dressed I can always use the DD's bedroom or bathroom. Not as if the other bedroom gets used as their beds have never been slept in

I share an American king size with my husband which is 6ft4" wide, now when we sleep in double beds I am genuinely scared I am going to fall out accidently in the night. Theres about 15" clearance to the wall at the foot of the bed which I was worried about when we first got it, but it's actually no problem. I love my giant bed!

I've just had to downsize from my superking :( Moved house and the bedroom just isn't big enough if I want any other furniture. I've swapped with friends, and now have a standard double. There's only me in it, but I miss my huge bed so much!
