To Think Carole Middleton is the Royal Family's karma

I rather admire her actually. Anyone who can wield that much influence while over riding long established power & traditions of the 'Suits' as Diana called them is staggeringly alpha and probably scares bejesus out of the them. If social climber is best they can come up with , so what. She's a bloody good one if so. Its karma, they were bound to meet a more alpha female than Diana eventually. I am not anti royal BTW but i was staggered at its bordereing on medieval/backward culture reading the biog of that ex naval guy who ran Charles' household. Its way past time for a new broom. So what if she is over protective of Kate, who wouldnt be, looking at that dysfunctional family?

YABU

That's not how karma works.

Not technically, and not even by the modern vague usage of the word.

But what did CM do exactly? Confused

Now, I really can't be bothered to have an opinion about carol Middleton of all people, apart from to opine that she is the twin of my next door neighbour.

The whole CM/DofC/Prince Charles thing would make such a brilliant AIBU.

I don't really have any negative feelings about the Middletons but I wonder what their reaction was when Kate and Will got together. Were they thrilled or disappointed? I would think any caring parent from their sort of ordinary background would have wanted her to run a mile.

Blueskybrightstar · 18/03/2015 20:09

Lol Bambambini I think thrilled would cover it about 100 times over!

Can't stand the Royal family - what a waste of resources! The money that goes to the Royal family (who all seem pretty uninspiring and dull to me) could be used so much more effectively on building and improving schools, hospitals, etc.

Bambambini · 18/03/2015 20:21

Thrilled is strange for me, especially them not being from a mega rich and titled background. Just looking at how it screwed up Diana and Fergie (to a degree) and the constant pressure would make me a very worried parent. Who would really want their child mixed up in all that.

I've been getting the Party Pieces brochures since 2002, before the Middletons were even famous, so I'm part of their inside circle, don't you know?

What's more, I've been cutting out the photos of the family from the frontspiece of the brochures for many years and framing them. I have a lovely family photo collection of the Middletons (including Kate) on my piano - see, we're best friends! What's more, Carole has just emailed me with her own style tips for Spring parties, gosh, she's such a mine of information. I don't know how I'd cope with parties and seasonal events without her; fortunately I know Pippa well and she shared her tips with me in a lovely book she popped in the post to me.

I'm so blessed.
