to call the police as a tree my neighbour hated has started dying in the last few weeks

My neighbour hates my trees, always complaining about them and has offered to pay to have them cut down, but I like the privacy they provide even though they are a bit ugly (golden cypress).

Last weekend I noticed it was going a bit brown, and its defiantly got worse. I'm sure they have poisoned one of them. Aibu to go to the police?

Throws a cream egg at usual!!!! (See another aibu thread)

Salmotrutta · 13/03/2015 20:21

When did you twig they had poisoned it OP?

CaTsMaMmA · 13/03/2015 20:21

he might branch out to poisoning people, don't eat anything he offers.

CaTsMaMmA · 13/03/2015 20:22

I'd LEAF well alone tbh.

QueenB14 · 13/03/2015 20:22

Grin special branch!

Yabu to call the police

sPJPPp · 13/03/2015 20:22

Seriously? You seem to think its fine to go on someone elses property and damage their belongings? I'm off to take my golf club to your windscreens in that case

Salmotrutta · 13/03/2015 20:23

oh, and it was probs usual's crap cat peeing on it

usualsuspect333 · 13/03/2015 20:23

I bet the police will be as stumped as you.

pinkyredrose · 13/03/2015 20:23

You sound selfish. Selfish people piss others off.

Just cut the trees down ffs, be a decent neighbour. It's so horrid having hardly any sun ever when you can see next doors trees sucking up what should be yours.

What did you say to them when they offered to pay?

BlackbirdOnTheWire · 13/03/2015 20:23

Call them, they might root around.

Salmotrutta · 13/03/2015 20:24

I think I love you OP Grin

I suspect you are actually me!

dalekanium · 13/03/2015 20:24

Leaf it out you lot

The OP wants to know if therE is any treetment available. She isn't barking. Hopefully she will twig what we are on about and she can get to the root of the problem.

londonrach · 13/03/2015 20:24

Blackbird!!!! (Tries to keep a straight face).

QueenB14 · 13/03/2015 20:25

usual you are killing me

OP no I don't think it's ok to damage somebody's property I just don't think it's a police matter and you have no proof

Salmotrutta · 13/03/2015 20:25

Is your neighbour's name Pollard...

SueChef · 13/03/2015 20:26

Serious answer - get a tree surgeon in to have a look.

Salmotrutta · 13/03/2015 20:26

Make like a tree and ^leaves

BlackbirdOnTheWire · 13/03/2015 20:27

What?!?

To crown it all, if OP doesn't report it, she might be accused of arboring a criminal.

TroubleAttMill · 13/03/2015 20:27

The police are only interested if it's a copper beech. Bastards.

Salmotrutta · 13/03/2015 20:27

Oi!

dale

I did the twig joke!

BlackbirdOnTheWire · 13/03/2015 20:29

They might charge the neighbour with defiling defoliating property. Or they might truncate the conversation.

Salmotrutta · 13/03/2015 20:30

It's hard "graft" with tree crime OP.

Do you want that on your conscience?

Salmotrutta · 13/03/2015 20:30

She has to stem this tide of abuse.

usualsuspect333 · 13/03/2015 20:31

You won't be very poplar with your neighbour, OP.

londonrach · 13/03/2015 20:32

Dam you blackbird ive just laughed out aloud and now having to explain to dh!!!!!! You owe me a cream egg...

Op take photos and date them to branch mark the problem. (Sorry usual and blackbird my dyslexic means im useless at plays on words although i love it when others do it)
