To wish people would use a bit of common sense in the swimming pool

Standing around chatting and getting in the way of people trying to swim up and down

Swimming widths across the middle of the pool when everyone else is swimming lengths

Fast swimmers in the slower lanes ploughing into everyone

Slow swimmers in the fast lane holding people up

Diving in despite signs forbidding this, and the pool being quite full.

Doing the backstroke in crowded sections of the pool

AIBU to sometimes think going for a swim is more stressful than relaxing?

Now you need to worry about women on their period not using tampons while in the pool.

That's what I've learnt from MN

Try not to let it all matter to you so much. If you're in the slow lane getting bumped into by someone racing up and down, then fair enough - on that one point - but why would it then stress you out what's happening in other lanes/ areas of the pool?

Swimming's supposed to be fun. Perhaps try to find a quieter time to go if you just want to relax?

Argh! The ones that chat at the ends and take up all the room so you can't turn/push off the side of the pool. Grrrrr. I'm with you. Your pace is your pace. Swimming slowly behind a load of slow people in the fast lane is actually quite difficult!
