To go to the gp?

I've had a headache for 6 days, and I'm exhausted. Been having night sweats. Been off work this week.

Would you try to get a gp appointment or just wait it out?

Get an appointment. It's probably viral (lots of strange things going around) but you can either be reassured or get some treatment if required. Won't you need a sick line for work anyway? 6 days is long enough to wait it out.

I'd definitely go to the gp. Try not to get dehydrated and make sure you eat something. I don't know how old you are but could it be related to menopause maybe? Take care of yourself.

Sounds to me like you should definitely see your GP.

I'm 31 - can't be the menopause, can it Hmm

Might be worth having an eye test. 31 is young for menopause symptoms, but it maybe worth while seeing your GP if it continues. The headaches could be stress related. Wish you better.

Could be a virus or do you grind your teeth during sleep? Bruxism will give bad headache as well as other things.

Menopause would be a very very unusual cause of night sweats in a 31 year old. There are a lot of really nasty bugs around this year-I had something similar a few weeks ago and it took ages to go (sorry!). That's much more likely.

Hope you feel better soon.

GP reckons virus, but if no improvement in a few days, to get bloods done.

I know you've already seen the gp but as a rule of thumb, if you've had a headache for more than three days with no obvious cause, cold/sinus pain etc, you should get checked out.

yogeek · 12/03/2015 09:35

Oh sorry it was me who mentioned menopause. It doesn't sound likely at all. Please forget what I said. You don't need to worry about that too!
I hope that you are feeling better than you were yesterday. Take care.
