To ask if anyone else doesn't have Facebook?

How do you find it? I had it for a few years but haven't for a while.

I am trying to make friends and am tentatively wondering about rejoining but it really makes me depressed at the same time and I have no friends to add

any thoughts?

Facebook is what you make it - if you're friends with boring, attention-seeking, braggy fools, then that's what your newsfeed will look like.

Facebook is for kids, Twitter is for bigger kids, I'm on Twitter.

I used to have it to share photos with family when I lived overseas - it was an easy way to keep in touch. I deleted my account as soon as I returned to the UK. I found it irritating. I sometimes miss having a nosy though but not enough to have an account.

How does twitter work though? I've tried to join a couple of times and just felt bemused by the whole thing. FB more intuitive.

I joined a couple of interest groups on there like cycling and horse people and have made a few friends but doubt you would make many new friends just by being on there and not in a specialist groups ifyswim?

yes, I was thinking more in terms of (say) if I went to a baby group and there is a group on Facebook then it helps strengthen those bonds.

But I don't think I will :)

I suspended my account earlier this year and haven't missed it yet. I might go back if I find that I do.

My main issue was that I could never think of a status that I wanted to post. I also found 'loved up' pics rather painful when I was going through relationship issues.
