to be uncomfortable watching interview with Aliona on TV this morning?

She was being interviewed with her "ordinary member of the public" dance partner and he was literally sitting on her knee! They did both say he was very nervous but even so...... Is it just me?

He was hanging on to her for dear life wasn't he.
She looked a bit uncomfortable.

Lol! No, they're about the same size! She's a dance professional from strictly and he is a member of the public who has been selected to dance with her on a new show - not completely up to date with the ins and outs of the show myself even though i am a huge strictly fan.

Its just that he had her in a real tight grip, arm around her, holding her tightly very close - and on the breakfast sofa. I just felt it was a bit OTT for a TV interview and felt a bit wierded out.

I thought that too - turned on the tv halfway through the interview. Don't watch strictly so don't know the background to the interview, but felt a bit creeped out by the way he was touching her. It looked really awkward and inappropriate.

I caught a glimpse of this but didn't know who they were!! Very odd creepiness on his part yuk!!

I found it weird too, didn't see the whole interview but he had his arm around her, then at the end she had her hand on his knee. She did look uncomfortable and I don't blame her.

I saw a few seconds of this. I had no idea who either of them were and I thought his body language was odd.

I too had no idea who they were, but his body language caught my attention - as though he'd pulled her in for a hug and didn't let go! I was sitting mesmerised when I noticed that she had her hand on his knee, so decided that she wasn't uncomfortable with the situation and was probably helping him deal with extreme anxiety. Weird, though!

He is a fundraiser for meningitis research. He started it after his son died of meningitis.

creepy!

and I doubt he was really nervous, he is a serious fund raiser, organising fairly high profile events, and seemed very comfortable at the reveal when he was hauled up on stage at the christmas light ceremony for the big reveal.
