Oh my. Aidan Turner is no longer a dwarf in mine eyes.
This is just the sort of bodice ripper horse gallopy shirt off nonsense I need to get me feeling all spring-like. Who's with me! ?

Here is a happy Monday photo.

Wasn't impressed. I remember the original and it wasn't a patch on that imo.

wowfudge · 09/03/2015 10:16

I wasn't even watching it properly and some of it was pretty eye-catching. Will have to revisit on iplayer.

phlebasconsidered · 09/03/2015 10:17

I don't remember the original, and so I think that probably helps. It made lovely Sunday bedtime viewing as far as I was concerned. I don't want challenge before bed on a Sunday, just nice scenery and a lot of nice outfits.

Thank you! It's a happy Monday now.

Aidan Turner was fab in "Being Human" and I am so glad he'll be on my TV for a whole series again. In tight pants.

Indeed phlebas! Dh complained last night that although he had been playing the PC, Poldark sounded boring.

I barely even noticed the plot Blush

phlebasconsidered · 09/03/2015 10:37

It was something about a farm. I think. He had to take his top off a lot, at the farm. I hope the farm features a LOT.

Sorry, but I preferred the original Poldark.
Apparently Robin Ellis has a small role in this version. Grin

Thank you Phlebas, you have made today a Terrific Tuesday with that picture SmileSmileSmile

The original is in my mind, i do remember it in patches.

Wasn't Chris Biggins in it; a toff who shagged/raped Morwenna iirc.?

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 10/03/2015 20:49

Aiden Turner is tasty.

DP dragged me along to see The Hobbit and I ended up totally focused on Kili.

He's like a piece of fine art.

I am amazed at how people can remember the original series in such detail. I used to watch the original Poldark and enjoyed it, but it was so long ago and I barely remember the plot.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 10/03/2015 20:56

I don't really remember the plot as such, it was a treat in our house on a Sunday to watch 'proper telly' with Mum and Dad.

It'll be The Onedin Line next Wink

SuggestmeaUsername · 10/03/2015 21:20

I have the original on DVD Bunbaker! MY DP and I are massive fans. is brilliant!

kerstina · 10/03/2015 22:26

I loved the original series .Took a shine to Francis as a child !
Love the new series even more didn't expect to. Really looking forward to the next episode.

cardibach · 10/03/2015 22:33

I suspect that if those who say the original was better were to actually watch it instead of comparing with a hazy memory, they might find it wasn't that good. Acting standards, screen writing and general production values have improved so much since the original was made that it would probably look terrible!

cardibach · 10/03/2015 22:36

With the exception of Suggestme who I now see has watched the original recently... Blush
I can't see it myself, though!

SuggestmeaUsername · 10/03/2015 22:37

I love the original series but was impressed with the first episode of the new remake

Biggles398 · 10/03/2015 22:46

Kept expecting Aidan Turner to bite someone !!
And the original Poldark Robin Ellis plays the magistrate in the new series
