Aibu to think no woman should ever say that regardless of who they are?

It doesn't prove that all.

derailleurdePan · 08/03/2015 18:59

Umm..no, the comment provides evidence that a celeb can get attention by spouting any ole crap.. the thread provides evidence that the GBP happily goes for it, and chucks in a bit of body-shape insult (because it's safe to when everyone else is doing it) with a bit of unpleasant stereo typing on gender lines.

itsbetterthanabox · 08/03/2015 19:11

I don't call anyone a 'hater' because I'm not 15

itsbetterthanabox · 08/03/2015 19:12

I don't claim anyone is jealous or anything when they insult women's bodies. I just don't think we should insult her. Samantha brick wrote a silly article and everyone said no she's ugly. I didn't care and there is no point me commenting on her looks.

daisychain01 · 08/03/2015 19:27

Either it was an unplanned off the cuff remark, not to be taken literally.

Or it is utter tripe.

My bet is on the 2nd option, especially if she has a highly inflated opinion of herself. Which most people like her do. what is she wearing ffs

daisychain01 · 08/03/2015 19:28

Ah yes, deluded, that was the word I was looking for ....

SpinDoctorOfAethelred · 08/03/2015 19:28

she probably could have any she chooses purely because unattached MEN ARE NOT THAT FUSSY!!.They are biologically programmed to spread their seed as widely as possible.

Don't be bloody ridiculous. Humans are not "biologically programmed". Not men, not women. We have instincts and tendencies but we also do this cool thing called thinking.

We are not organic robots, following programs. My computer has programs- humans do not.

SpinDoctorOfAethelred · 08/03/2015 19:38

Regarding the thread as a whole, I see where limited is coming from. If you took her "literally" literally, and decide she honestly believes that every man would happily say "Yes", well...

You'd have to then wonder what would happen if she asked someone out and he said “No”. Would that inflated self-belief crack with the first rejection, or would she assume he was just "playing hard-to-get"?

Me, I just think she routinely abuses the word literally like so many other people do, so I'm not worried. I wouldn't get on with her in RL, but it's not a crime against humanity.

Hardly. I didn't read about it or have even seen it reported. I just listened to the interview myself and that stuck out to me, which is why I wanted to discuss it.

Even the comment on the video didn't mention it from what I can see.

If anyone is genuinely that interested then watch it from 36:50

Well, she says she can pretty much have any man she likes.

She is up herself for sure, but she did use the terms 'pretty much'

Sallystyle · 08/03/2015 19:54

words not terms.

Crocodopolis · 08/03/2015 20:11

Is that opposed to figuratively having sex?

Or, as Groucho Marx once said: "I can have sex with any woman I please. Trouble is, I can't please any of them."

BeyondRepair · 08/03/2015 20:15

its probably true, its not hard.
