To be pissed off about this car parked across my drive?

About to go out and noticed a car parked partway across the drive.
We looked and decided that we could just about get round it.
Just as we were about to get into the car the teenage son of the family next door got home and said 'oh my goodness, so sorry about that, hang on I'll get her to move it'.
He went in the house and got the visitor whose car it was to move it, she did.

AIBU to be pissed off that I couldn't get a nice juicy parking thread out of this?

YANBU. This could have been the start of something beautiful.
Damn considerate teenage neighbour.

QOD · 07/03/2015 13:30

Haha

Lovemycatsandkids · 07/03/2015 13:32

Funny op this is like the teenage party thread! What's happening out there? Grin

ilovesooty · 07/03/2015 13:35

At least it wasn't someone who'd parked and fucked off to the airport. Grin

grannytomine · 07/03/2015 13:39

He sounds lovely, if only all teenagers were so charming.

TruJay · 07/03/2015 13:40

Yanbu although I think may be U how excited I felt clicking on this thread!Blush
I may have a very juicy parking thread brewing myself though which I am debating starting a thread on though! It involves a dropped kerb, a neighbour parking in front of someone's house ALL THE TIME, a decision whether to create a new driveway to deter this neighbour, lots of disagreement and blocking in! It does have all the right ingredients haha

Pipbin · 07/03/2015 13:42

The thing is Granny to look at him you'd cross the road. Generally has a fag on the go and often a can of beer.

Not long after we moved in he had music on really really loud, DH went round and asked him to turn it down which he did instantly and apologised then and the next day when we saw him. There has never been any loud music since.

Bloody inconsiderate teenager! He ruined a good parking thread Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 07/03/2015 14:59

How disappointing Sad

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 07/03/2015 15:12

Love a parking twat thread, it's been quiet on that front lately.

bigbluebus · 07/03/2015 16:11

pipbin Just goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover Grin

TheDailyWail · 07/03/2015 16:32

[disappointed emoticon]

MehsMum · 07/03/2015 16:35

This is a nice counterweight to all the 'teens can be vile' threads.
Teens can be vile, and they can be lovely too...

Delphine31 · 07/03/2015 16:39

I could have started a parking twat thread yesterday but I didn't. Therefore I'm sure IWasBU. Neighbour had parked blocking about 1/4 of the entrance to my driveway. I'm not sure I could have squeezed out. As it happened, she moved her car before I needed to go out otherwise I would have had parking rage and it could have been a lovely juicy thread.

Archer26 · 07/03/2015 16:40

Gutted! Clicked on this with such high hopes!

OP are you sure you're not me in a parallel universe? My next door neighbours son also has a lot of visitors who park across our drive. Every. Fecking. Day.

The lad just grunts as an acknowledgement and rolls his eyes if we ask him to move the car.

He also has loud parties. Confused

Strangely though his parents are lovely and would help in a crisis but clearly are very deaf/ poorly sighted, never there or terrified of him. Dunno why, I could totally take him.

Lweji · 07/03/2015 16:45

As for teenagers, my upstairs neighbour is a twat, and doesn't seem to be speaking to me after I was against her transforming her parking space in the communal garage into storage, but her daughter seems fairly pleasant and is always polite.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 07/03/2015 16:52

Somone has parked across my fucking drive, I'm seething. Event on at local school. Did I say I was livid? Angry

Will report back!

Andrewofgg · 07/03/2015 17:11

StillStaying More, more, more!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 07/03/2015 17:13

It's still there! Angry

DS3 is telling me not to get worked up, 'it's just a car over the drive Mum'

Pipbin · 07/03/2015 17:15

More from Still please. Do you need to go out? Have you left a note?

Pipbin · 07/03/2015 17:16

Have a word with DS 3. We need to get worked up about it too.

Good job StillStayingClassySanDiego has rocked up - this had the makings of one of the biggest disappointments I've encountered on MN!

Lweji · 07/03/2015 17:20

There should be a name and shame site for people who park across drives.
