Neighbour saying i didnt give him a parcel

Pinkpercy22 · 04/03/2015 20:33

I gave this guy his parcel on saturday, it was cat litter. I knocked on his door and he came to the door then followed me across the road to get his parcel.
Now someone has been ringing down my doorbell since Sunday
i never answer the door unless im expecting so ignored it but its been everyday
i came outside today the find a note from the woman upstairs saying the guy across the road came for his parcel

Now im pissed off!
I hate the woman upstairs and he has got her involved over a parcel i ALREADY gave him?!
She tarnishes my name to others so now she can add "thief" to it!

I went over and knocked on his door but hes out.
no notes from him in my letterbox so wtf is he on about!
im mad right now because i was just about to call police as i thought it was my ex bf who found me (i fled DV)
i don't look out the window and nobody knows were i am so the ringing of the bell sounded like someone who knew me ringing it, it was constant
what should i do?
I will never sign for another parcel again thats for sure

ps
i dont do drugs or drink or have mental health issues and im 25 with a good memory

all sounds like a lot of drama over nothing

OrinocoTheWomble · 04/03/2015 20:40

Perhaps he saw the note from the delivery company and their failure to deliver to him (but to you instead) after you'd given him his cat litter and he thinks there is something else?

EveBoswell · 04/03/2015 20:44

Yes, Orinoco. That's what I thought.

sanfairyanne · 04/03/2015 20:48

he just found the card, thats all, and thinks there is another parcel

drama over

BigEyedOwl · 04/03/2015 20:51

Post some cat shit through his door.

ghostyslovesheep · 04/03/2015 20:53

it's the kind of think you just want to black out really - try counting to 1-2-3-4 and taking a deep breath x

StinkyTinky · 04/03/2015 20:54

TheoriginalLEM · 04/03/2015 20:55

what has mental health isdues got to do with anything? Hmm

Irelephant · 04/03/2015 20:59

I have mental health issues. I don't pinch neighbours parcels either Grin at least I hope I don't.

Methe · 04/03/2015 21:00

Talk about making a mountain of a mole hill!

Snozberry · 04/03/2015 21:04

My guess was he thinks there’s another parcel too. Ignore the meddling woman upstairs.

TheoriginalLEM · 04/03/2015 21:05

same here irelephant - i have managed to avoid the cat litter stealing that mental health issues sadly often lead to.

scarletforya · 04/03/2015 21:07

Wow, calm down.

Koalafications · 04/03/2015 21:10

I thought the same as Orinoco

Arsenic · 04/03/2015 21:12

Orinoco is probably on to something.

Talk to him. It will be fine.

WayfaringStranger · 04/03/2015 21:14

Don't stress, life's too short.

Nerf · 04/03/2015 21:21

I have mental health issues and take in loads of amazon stuff for next door. Does that mean I get to keep it?

CurlyWurlyCake · 04/03/2015 21:23

I often thought about stealing cat litter during my more darker days Sad

ExitPursuedByABear · 04/03/2015 21:25

Who gets cat litter delivered?

OrinocoTheWomble · 04/03/2015 21:26

I do with my Sainsburys order!!!! But not on it's own.

Irelephant · 04/03/2015 21:29

nerf only it's if feline related

2rebecca · 04/03/2015 21:31

I'd talk to him but refuse to take any more parcels for him if he involves your neighbours

MeeWhoo · 04/03/2015 21:33

I think OP has said she doesn't drink, take drugs or have mental health issues to show that she is not likely to have forgotten signing for a 2nd parcel, rather than implying that if you have mental health issues you go round taking people's parcels.

TheoriginalLEM · 04/03/2015 21:41

Well here's a thing, i have a mental health issue, and ive got the memory of an elephant!!!!

Nerf · 04/03/2015 21:43

Irelephant, my mental health does allow me to be choosy. I may select on the basis of content.
