They look nice and soft and cuddly but they really aren't. Most of them hate being picked up and cuddled. They bite and scratch and dig and chew everything.

They also cost a fortune in vet bills with the bloody neutering and vaccinations and other shit they need.

And they live for bloody 8-10 years, sometimes longer Angry

We have two who live in the garden, big hutch and massive run, we rehomed them from a neighbour who just kept them in a tiny hutch all day. They're not the friendliest but they're quirky and have their own little personalitys. One like to sit next to you but not be touched the other will have her ears tickled but only for a min or two, they run doing nose to tail in a tiny circle in the mornings when I bring their greens Grin

And I hate to alarm a few posters but erm rabbits are rodents…

I grew up with rabbits, ours had outdoor runs and used to lie in the garden with the dogs. Was also brought inside in the winter and given free run of the kitchen and hall.

I hate seeing rabbits kept in tiny hutches in gardens and never allowed out, my SIL had two like this kept in a child's playhouse in an indoor cafe they can't hop in, hardly any fresh air, no exercise, kids long lost interest. It's such a shame.
