AIBU in seeking to sop a youth on a motorcycle riding through a local footpath? By sticking my leg out as I was sitting on a nearby wall making him stop & ask 'Wha?'

& me respond 'It's a fucking footpath'. His answer 'So?' (& ride off'.
DP thought I was BU in stopping someone taking a shrt cut.

YANBU to complain to him but I wouldn't "stick my leg out" in front of a motorcycle again, you might end up with a bit of leg missing.

So - errr - did you actually achieve anything?

SlaggyIsland · 27/02/2015 23:20

I'd have phoned the police rather than risk a leg injury.

southeastastra · 27/02/2015 23:21

yes it's a shitty thing to do isn't it really.

alsmutko · 27/02/2015 23:29

Yes if only he'd hung around long enough for me to take note of the member plate. Never have my phone close enough.
It's just the 'so what' attitude that pisses me off.

Rider is BU for being on the footpath and an arse in his reply.

YABU because making riders fall is extremely dangerous, completely disproportionate to the offense of riding on a footpath, and in this instance also likely to result in injury to you.

alsmutko · 27/02/2015 23:45

I should state that's it's a pretty wide footpath & there was no danger to either cyclist or leg. Maybe that ought to be a factor & as there was no danger then motor cycling should be allowed & I was BU. Even though it is a footpath.
Ah well.
Night night.
