Don't be mean about the babies name.

I think it would be a good idea if they said what happened to the cash that was donated.

I'm glad the baby is well and home.

The whole money grabbing side of the story was nasty though.

ifgrandmahadawilly · 28/02/2015 09:27

Oh, I thought this was about Kirsten Bell's husband.

Poppet1974 · 28/02/2015 09:31

The parents should be trying to put the whole episode behind them not parading themselves on TM to perhaps make more cash!
But yet I'm not in anyway surprised that they are. Dreadful.

fluffygreentail · 28/02/2015 09:38

Glad baby is ok - he arrived very early so it must have been a frightening time for the parents.

Didnt know anything about a scam or that they got the insurance in full to cover the circumstances. Assumed they raised money for the interim only while the issue was being assessed.

The dad though ... too loud, "me, me, me and oh hang on, me, me". As someone said, not even a thank you in the interview. The mum seemed nice.

douchbag · 28/02/2015 09:41

Has anyone got link to the fb group?

OldFarticus · 28/02/2015 09:41

Thanks fluffy. Knew I had read something about the donations going to RM, shame it's not all of them.

Poor kid - that godawful name AND those parents. Glad he is home.

JoanHickson · 28/02/2015 11:52

The fb page was something like fairy tale of New York, just replace Dax instead of fairy.

MetallicBeige · 28/02/2015 11:57

I remember the Dad was putting 'inspirational self- written (badly) quotes all over his page while his son was in the hospital. Bit of an attention seeker that one. Glad mum and baby are ok.

HoppityVoosh · 28/02/2015 11:59

Think it's only 9 weeks since he was born Dixie and he was back in the UK about two weeks ago. So the whole "we're going to be stuck in America until at least March" was obvs bullshit.

ChipDip · 28/02/2015 12:02

Couldn't care less about these scum parents. They took advantage of kind people and I do hope they refund them. Nothing significantly special about their case at all.

HoppityVoosh · 28/02/2015 12:03

Just checked the fb page. He came to the UK on 6th Feb.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 28/02/2015 12:03

Still called Dax though? Poor kid :(

GahBuggerit · 28/02/2015 12:05

oh good, i was worried they didnt con enough money out of people to get home. im so relieved.

Koalafications · 28/02/2015 12:06

Oh I missed them on This Morning.

Glad the baby is home safe and well.

The pleas for donations on the FB page was very Hmm

PiranhaBrothers · 28/02/2015 13:05

Glad the baby is well enough to be home.

I didn't see This Morning (terrible fucking programme - grannies having their fannies tightened live on air and all that).

Did they say how much money went to the RM Foundation or were they too busy self-publicising? Grabby shites, him in particular. I think he was planning to use the situation to further his modelling career Hmm

JoanHickson · 28/02/2015 13:09

There was zero mention of tge public donations. The Dad shouted over everyone else when they attempted to speak. The Dad wasn't easy to follow as he has a speach impediment and didn't make a lot of sense. It was a very short interview.

FarFromAnyRoad · 28/02/2015 13:45

Do people get paid for being on that ghastly programme?

Grin at 'grannies having their fannies tightened live on air' Grin

SoupDragon · 28/02/2015 13:53

I wonder how much it cost to fly him home - he came home by private jet in an incubator with a medical team!

ScotsWhaHae · 28/02/2015 13:53

Poor little guy. What will the next child be called? Ftse?

MidniteScribbler · 28/02/2015 13:54

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2967316/Premature-baby-weighed-just-3Ibs-born-11-weeks-early-parents-holiday-New-York-finally-arrives-family-s-UK-home-time.html

DM link, but they flew home by private jet, which was apparently 'cramped'. No mention of the donations.

'It's so nice being able to pick clothes from our whole wardrobe again and have all of our home comforts." Dad has apparently been missing his designer wardrobe.

ScotsWhaHae · 28/02/2015 13:57

Those V neck vests sure are special

Koalafications · 28/02/2015 13:59

Here's the link: www.itv.com/thismorning/hot-topics/baby-dax-born-in-the-usa-three-months-early

Did anyone else hear that their medical bill was covered in the end? I seem to have missed that bit...
