.... And the equivalent amount added to the pension credit of low income pensioners. That would overcome the logistical/cost based arguments against means testing these benefits.

That makes sense Howcan, as I think the Labour party were talking about withdrawing pensioner benefits from the top 5%.

Yes but, Goodbye, in my opinion, it's better to be sending in money and getting something back, than sending in money and getting nothing back.

Howcan, I believe Labour are still saying that they will means test WFA, etc for the top 5% of pensioners. Universal CB will never be re-instated. Rachel Reeves said as much on her web chat this morning when I asked the question.

Ihate just read it.

Sooooo they can see how unfair it is (whilst spectacularly missing the point re joint income) but they're not prepared to do anything about it.How weak is that?Well they can shove any poss votes from me where the sun doesn't shine.

God only knows who I'll be voting for come next election.Greens were a poss but after this week not now.Is their anybody else?

ihategeorgeosborne · 26/02/2015 22:10

I'm beginning to think that for the single income, higher rate tax paying (not massively over the HRT threshold) family with dependents, that there is no one else LePetit. No other party seems to want our vote. Quite happy to take our money though Hmm

LePetitMarseillais · 26/02/2015 22:27

We're a two income family just over the threshold and they don't want our votes either.
