aibu to panic that's tax credits have dropped payments

Tax credits sent me a new declaration sheet showing my childcare incorrect. After nearly 90 mins on hold I found out they have no record of receiving evidence of childcare payments requested by scrutiny last year. I did send it as I have for the last 3 years when requested.

So no letter of warning just a new award. They are saying I have to appeal and basically resend evidence of childcare costs which is fine.

Aibu to be terrified they don't sort this? OH thinks I'm overreacting but our childcare bill is over a £1000 a month and they have took £600 off us because of this mistake. Iv no idea how I'm paying everything next month

They will sort it, but it may take a long time- think they allow themselves about 10 weeks, although it might be less for childcare. I really don't want to scare you (and if I'm wrong will be very happy to be corrected) but it would be a good idea to plan for this timescale. That said, your nursery are bound to have experienced this before and will hopefully know how long it usually takes and be able to let you fall behind on payments temporarily. Best of luck.

They are saying 30 days for mandatory appeal. It's it's 10 weeks then iv no idea. I can fudge for a month with overdraft at a cost but more, gulp

Okay, hopefully it will only be that then! My own experiences may have soured me a bit. And I hope the nursery will have some advice as well :)
