to not understand why anyone would want to wear a dress made out of scuba material?

I bought a dress in the sale and it looked lovely on the photo. I got it and it was scuba material. It was so thick and just looked cheap. No wonder it was £50 down to £20

Now I keep seeing scuba clothing a lot more -

www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Premium-Cutout-Skater-Dress-In-Bonded-Scuba/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=4591714&cid=2623&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=36&sort=-1&clr=Pink&totalstyles=453&gridsize=3

I love the style and the colour but the material is just wrong.

Surely scuba should be left for the ocean and not for the bar? Confused

Yeah I don't get it either. It looks and feels horrible.

Years ago when DP and I were skint students we went into Harvey Nicks for a laugh and he found a men's suit made from neoprene. We laughed so much we almost got asked to leave. Little did I know it was so fashion forward Wink Grin .

I have a scuba pencil skirt and it's fab. Sucks everything in, and the thick fabric means there are no lumps, bumps and knicker lines. Washes perfectly, doesn't crease, what's not to love?

Not sure I'd want anything flared in scuba material, though. Too sticky out.

I have some trousers in that scuba material

I wouldn't like to wear them in high summer, but the thick material hides and lumps and bumps and sucks you in without looking too tight

I am 30 years too old for that dress through Smile

Another one with a scuba dress. It's quite heavy material but with my ahem curves that's not a bad thing! Very comfy too.

It's awesome, I'd wear everything in neoprene if I could!!!!

I don't understand it either. And unless you can use it to breathe underwater, why is it called scuba anything?

I like the fact that it's unusual and creates a boxy silhouette.
