aibu to ask how to go about non-deliveries (varies online orders)

I order online every now and then. In the laat month I had 4 orders which dis not turn up. The retailers refunded me but I really wonder why I did not receive 4 orders in the space of a months. Never had that before. I think all were supposed to be delivered by the royal mail and I am really uncomfortable about it.

Does the mail inveatigate such kind of dissapearances?

Report to royal mail. I did that and had to randomly send letters and receive letters for them without telling anyone. They thanked me at end. Got some stamps out if it!

I complained to royal mail when this happened to me.

They opened an investigation and apologised with an offer of compensation. I know my neighbours also got the same offer without having complained so I gather something dodgy was uncovered during the investigation.
