I've just named changed as my name was a little too identifying !!

No real meaning behind mine, other than I love the word and 22 is my fave number.

Rusty was a little bear my mum made for me to take to school in my pocket on my first day - he is now 53 years old and rather faded through being washed in my pocket - and the patches are to cover holes where he was attacked by moths.

I wanted to be Rusty when I joined Mumsnet but it was taken, so I added the 'bear'. When they had the name auction in aid of Mile for Maude I bought Rusty, but when it came to it I didn't really want to lose the bear bit, so I only use it now and then (just in case they ever have another auction, I don't want them to think it's unused!)

Mine is because I feel like I have had to wait for fucking ever to meet the right man and start a family.

Got the bloke now (hadn't when I joined here - under a different name) and busy trying to have a pregnancy that works out.

Mine means nothing at all. I didn't realise I needed a nickname so just put the first thing that popped into my mind.

No imagination at all.

Mine is because I had a very sensible name which pertained to my business and then MN told me I had to change it as it could be regarded as advertising (which was the last thing I actually wanted to do as we are always fully booked or nearly booked but anyways...)

So... I then decided this must not happen again so I must think of the least sensible least-likely-to-be-considered-as-marketing name as I could dredge from my boring old middle aged mind!

Worryingly, someone occasionally posts using my real name, causing me to have a moment of panic in case I have inadvertently sleep-namechanged. Not sure there's anything I can do about it.

When I first registered I had a toddler and a newborn, a full time job and was hopelessly stretched. That was 14 years ago - am now a single parent to two hulking teens and not as stretchy as I used to be
