I'm going back to work next month and while chatting with other mums about it I've come across the above phrase a few times. Perhaps IBU but it sounds insufferably smug to be - so they married guys with money, so what? There's nothing wrong with saying you're a SAHM so why add the caveat that you've got a rich husband?

I've said this in the context of 'this is why I'm not panicking about finding a job'. As it happens I found one as soon as I started looking (bugger!). And no, it's not because I married a rich man. I worked hard and saved up before having a baby. I think the most offensive thing about this post is OP's assumption that we have to rely on men for money!
