Freebleeding

I have just come across something about freebleeding. Women who do not use any san pro, and just let it all come out over themselves and their clothes, and any other thing they come in contact with. I personally find this disgusting, and unhygienic, as well as the risk of disease.

Well, it does sound gross, but when I had periods (had hysterectomy at 33 for cc) it would have been like a fucking massacre if I'd 'free bled'.... I do have another friend who gets can get away with no san pro for the last few days of her period cos it's just a dribble.

Oh ffs! Bloody hoax. sees irony

CavalierQueenCharlotte · 13/02/2015 17:26

It doesn't hugely offend me except I do have a very light coloured sofa. Glad it's a hoax for that reason only. Trills really could do better. They only need to Google "mumsnet AIBU to bikini wax?" To find out how to cause a big fuss

Aeroflotgirl · 13/02/2015 17:27

Does not mean it does not happen, I am sure that there are women out there who believe in this.

TROLLS not Trills.

Lemondrizzletwunt · 13/02/2015 17:27

HOAX birdeemag.com/free-bleeding-thing/

Lemondrizzletwunt · 13/02/2015 17:28

And actually, if you have a female dog you deal with this on a regular basis an (I assume) don't have a problem with it? It's my body and my blood...providing nobody has to clean up after me / see it, what's the problem?

Summerisle1 · 13/02/2015 17:29

I am sure that there are women out there who believe in this.

Doesn't make them any less gullible though.

Oldraver · 13/02/2015 17:31

Well...my sofa is red anyway....

CupidStuntSurvivor · 13/02/2015 17:36

Was also under the impression that this was a fake thought up by men's rights activists in order to discredit feminists.

And if it's not, they're not sitting on my couch.

SolomanDaisy · 13/02/2015 17:37

You're sure there are women out there who believe in this? Because a bunch of misogynist idiots made it up to make people hate feminists/women? They've done quite well, haven't they?

SistersOfPercy · 13/02/2015 17:56

My personal rule of thumb is anything screenshot from a phone or a piece of paper photographed is almost certainly bullshit.

HowCanIMissYouIfYouWontGoAway · 14/02/2015 16:09

maybe there are women out there who believe the hoax that other women do it - you did. You aren't the only one. It made it to so many sites, so willing were people to believe that there's a group of batshit crazy feminists out there yelling how tampons are rape.

Just because some people choose to believe that it is true, does that actually mean that there are women out there who have access to pads/tampons/mooncups/etc and who choose to use nothing and have blood running down their legs? I seriously doubt it.

LadyLupin · 14/02/2015 16:14

Well, I rarely use any sanitary protection. So, I guess that's free bleeding?

YouBetterWerk · 14/02/2015 16:18

www.dailydot.com/lol/free-bleeding-is-a-4chan-hoax/

Hoax.
Christ, please do some research before giving thick Mens Rights Activists what they want.

sticklebrickstickle · 14/02/2015 16:48

Glad to hear it's fake! Although San-pro is classified as a 'luxury' rather than an 'essential' item by the government so maybe this is what they expect women who can't afford luxuries to do!

GinAndSonic · 14/02/2015 16:55

I sometimes dont use sanitary protection. I find that if i go to the toilet regularly wiping prevents any staining of clothes etc. so i guess im an occasional free bleeder

Mammanat222 · 14/02/2015 17:06

Of course there is no such thing, but if there were to be any truth to it then would these free bleeders be jobless? or would they just bleed all over their office chairs

gamerchick · 14/02/2015 17:17

It's weird but I had a feeling this topic would crop up after the food bank sanitary towel thread.

I couldn't be chewed with popping to the lav to have a wipe regularly neither and my rag week is short and uneventful Hmm

TheRealAmandaClarke · 14/02/2015 17:23

Oh it seems like a marvellous idea.
I think its what feminism is all about.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 14/02/2015 17:25

im sure there are women out there who believe in this

Hmm

Apart from you?

DrownedReindeer · 14/02/2015 18:29

And actually, if you have a female dog you deal with this on a regular basis an (I assume) don't have a problem with it?

No, any female dog of mine is spayed.

BrainyMess · 14/02/2015 18:32

I'm free bleeding atm

Wink
