He's a bit too clean cut while also being slightly seedy? Haven't read 50 Shades and don't intend to see the film. Maybe it's just a hangover from watching him in The Fall and hating the character (obviously) and also the whole show really - couldn't understand Gillian Anderson's character's obsession with him. Do people really fancy him?

I haven't read the book or seen the film. I have seen the fall. I don't fancy him. I think he is better with the beard and an ok looking guy.

Well I wouldn't exactly be repulsed by him, yes he has intense eyes but is that not all the more reason to be cast as Christian 'intense' Grey
I may need to see the film before I make my mind up. The leading lady however looks older than him so I'm not sure how the dynamics will be, i will watch the film then decide then

I havent read the books, but for some reason I thought it was all set in America and the two leads in the film were American. Imagine my surprise when Jamie spoke with an Irish accent and it turns out its all set in the UK. I thought he came across as really sweet on G N show, julie walters was funny. At least she wasnt all over him like some other actresses may have been! Ive read reviews of the book on amazon when it all kicked off last year and people were raving about it on facebook and i was curious what it was about.. I imagined The Grey character to be more like Bryan Ferry,..
