He moping around like a whipped puppy trying to elicit a 'there, there, don't worry it's only a camera' out of me. It is only a camera. But it's the camera that has all of our photos of our 1 year old DS on since he was born. All of them. Backup I hear you cry. Yes of course I got him to back them up. Except he can't remember how or where he did it.

oh no. I am still gutted that we lost hundreds of photos because they were only on a usb stick and it got corrupted somehow.

Does he have a cloud attached to his email? or is there one with the computer?

He doesn't remember if they are backed up to a pc, or some sort of external device or online?

Are you sure he actually backed up?

If he can't remember how or where he backed up, then he needs to go through all of the available options he had to back up over the last year, or he needs to admit that he didn't do the back ups.

Have you got any hope of finding the camera?

He thinks he left it in a pizzeria in the city centre. He's rung them but no sign of it. He's currently searching through the pit that serves as his office pulling out usb thingies, cd, external hard drives, spare computers and a whole load of other junk looking for them. I do believe he's backed them up, he wouldn't lie about it. He's just chaotic with his stuff.

A 'friend' of mine lost the memory card I had backed all of DS' baby photos on.

She lost it then denied she even had it in the first place.

Tell him to get his finger out and find where he backed them up. Did he really forget, or did he not bother to do it and is scared to admit it?

He's dodged the bullet and found them on his work computer. He will live to see another day.
