Exhausting, privileged, learning.

I am a student nurse. I have done a 13.5 hour day today, but it was amazing. I had a patient who is expert in her disease and she honoured me by telling me all about it from diagnosis to where she was on admission today, totally for my learning, which she understood from the start.

I was also working with a fabulous nurse and being given all sorts of learning opportunities.

Now, tell me yours please.

Got.Shouted. At

Am a nurse in Outpatients. Cunting relative of a patient yelled at me because they wanted to see the Consultant but didn't want to wait. My mouth was apologising, but my brain was saying 'then go private then, you bald wanker'.

Frustrating, patience, peace

Frustrating as Im trying to get passports for the kids,.you'd have thought i was trying to get official secrets! Its been rejected 3 times,.try again tomorrow!
Patience because DS1 is going through a interesting phase, he's just turned 4 and is being a bit stroppy and argumentative currently

Peace because i got DS1, DS2 and DP to go to bed before 8.30pm so I've had the whole sofa and tv to myself this evening! Grin

Accomplishment, relief, charm. Finally got a malfunctioning piece of kit to break, so now it HAS to fixed. Relieved that DW's going back to coalface nursing and won't be working 70 hour weeks for ungrsteful bastards. Charmed by DD's friends, who praise my cooking loudly.
