To think the Loose Women interview with Katie Hopkins was a tad disappointing?

I thought this had the potential to be a lively discussion but then Coleen had a go at Katie for insulting her sister's physical appearance and then proceeded to sulk throughout the interview when she didn't get the apology she wanted. Janet Street Porter then carried on flogging the horse for much longer than was comfortable. I didn't come away with much more knowledge of what Katie is about or with much faith in the ability of mature women to have a mature conversation.

Incidentally I find JSP's criticism of those who claim to be suffering from depression to be far less constructive than anything KH has written.

well, if katie said what colleen claimed, then I'm not surprised colleen was fuming.

I think colleen was rather restrained in the circumstances.

Yes Coleen is entitled to feel that way although I'm sure her sister received comments from more people than just Katie. I don't think it's professional to bring a personal grievance to air. It has very limited relevance to the viewer and repeating a dead end question is a bit pointless and tedious.

it's loose women.

it's hardly a high-brow discussion Grin

I seen it today actually and said the same it wasn't very professional. Keep it for backstage I think. Mind you they probably had high ratings.

Isn't the whole point of Loose Women an awful lot of shrieking and heckling?

Lottie5 · 11/02/2015 18:21

That's true!
