To ask anyone who does Ceroc how you look controlled and poised, rather than bouncing about like a muppet

Started learning Ceeroc about a year ago, and though I love it, realise I'm not very poised and controlled - just seem to bounce around.

Better than me. I always looked pissed.

On the turns I rise and turn on my toe rather than off the floor (which I see some people do)

Does your version of ceroc teach footwork or just arm work?

BookwormWoman · 08/02/2015 18:04

boris Just basic footwork - weight on right foot and spin etc.

Any other tips would be much appreciated.

When you put your weight on your foot where is your heel off or on the floor

How wide are are your feet when dancing - they should be the width of your shoulders apart or less

You do realise I am stood her in my pjs looking ridiculous Ceroc'ing by myself to see if I can see how I do it Hmm I must look deranged Wink

Book I've just done a touch of PJ Cerocing myself Grin and concluded that when I put my weight on my foot, my heel is slightly off the floor - don't know if that's the right answer or not.

Think I'm ok with my feet being shoulder width or less.

I 'think' I actually rise on to my toe as I turn, maybe

&I also 'think' I track my trailing foot on the floor rather than take it off

mind you I have no idea if I bounce about - I don't feel like I do; except sometimes when dancing with a beginner
