To think having children is not a right!

If you can't afford children thats just tough! IMO. We should abolish child benefit to be spent on real rights such as having something to eat and decent levels of sanitation. I would rather my hard earned tax went there than child benefit!!

Fatkorgasm: I was mainly thinking about the general population! But single women goodness! goes and lies in a darkened room.....

No seriously though why are people Sundays filled with this drivel when we could of started with a delightful dessert thread!

Ohhhh sticky toffee pudding! That would go down well after nice curry!

How can you afford to pay for that given the obviously inadequate education you have received?

No don't bother actually, I don't care.

pineappleshortbread · 08/02/2015 16:47

Just an added point I wonder how many people actually go 'well we have 50p and no savings and can't afford to live so what shall we do...I know have a baby' hardly anyone I bet so usually those who have children by choice have decided they can afford them although not in op world

AllThePrettySeahorses · 08/02/2015 16:48

Well it's not a right, no, but then neither is getting a pension, having someone look after your personal needs when you're old, having an operation etc. If poorer people's kiddies aren't born to do useful jobs such as carers, cleaners, doctors, medical administrators, cooks, factory staff and so on, who's going to look after you when you're old? The rich people's kids who become career politicians and diplomats and things like that? Who usually have these positions not through merit but because of who they are?

I love the phrases 'hard earned tax' and 'hard working taxpayer', it gives me such a fun mental image of the type of person who says it Smile
I bet you're a barrel of laughs down the pub on a Friday...

We're having steak and chips.

timer · 08/02/2015 16:49

Do you not drive your car on the road? Does your bin get emptied? Do you expect someone to turn up when you call 999?

Your private healthcare will be fuck all use to you if you're ever involved in an RTA or have a heart attack. Good luck then! Smile

pineappleshortbread · 08/02/2015 16:49

Is this what passes for debate in your house?

TwatFaceBitch · 08/02/2015 16:53

pineappleshortbread · 08/02/2015 16:53

FayKorgasm · 08/02/2015 16:53

FiftyShadesOfGreen4205 · 08/02/2015 16:53

For the sake of disclosure, OP, how much do you pay in taxes every month?

AndyWarhol you just get half of the CB. Wink
OP go on, entertain me, what do you propose we do about it?
Sterilise poor people? What about the children already born? What happens if for example a hard working, private education and healthcare using taxpayer loses their job, runs out of savings and becomes a poor person?
What are you solutions?
