Day, he'd be in big trouble, especially if it was a cheesy soft porn filum?

I've no doubt he would be in the dog house.

However, my wife along with millions of other women across the country will be leaving their partners/husbands on their own so that they can watch 50 Shades!

I feel cheated Wink

More fool them...

Valentines day is just marketing bullshit anyway- dh and i have never bothered with it and managed to survive 20 years!

LillyEvans · 07/02/2015 00:51

We don't celebrate valentine's day in my house, however, if my dp did go out to watch 50 shades I'd make an exception and get pissed off. Just because it sounds terrible, not because he's going to the cinema on valentine's day.

GothMummy · 07/02/2015 00:53

My husband is going on a stag do on valentines day. I dont give a damn. Its not like we can go out anywhere anyway as we do not have a baby sitter.

MistressDeeCee · 07/02/2015 01:07

Oh well its the in film at the moment, I think. Don't worry, get a few drinks in & watch a good film indoors, you'll have a better time at home

From skimming the 1st book (couldn't get past the crap writing style & wooden "sex" scenes) that Christian whatisname just sounds like a messed up abusive dickhead.

Me & OH do celebrate Valentine's Day together. Can go out with mates any other day.I can understand everybody is different though, its each to their own.

But yeah, you're right (although you'll get short shrift on hereGrin ) if a guy said he was vetoing being with his DW in favour of going out with a bunch of mates on Valentine's Day to watch a soft porn film you wouldn't be able to move for the "he's a dickhead, disrespectul, porn is so very wrong, LTB" blah blah blah comments

YABU.

Getting in 'trouble' for going to the cinema. FFS.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 07/02/2015 08:08

Millions of women? Really? I can't think of anything worse, I rarely get a night away from the baby and if I did then the last thing I would do is go and watch that clap trap. And we don't even celebrate valentines day.

AnnaFiveTowns · 07/02/2015 08:09

Yanbu. I'm leaving my DH on Valentines to go and watch football. I wouldn't sit through that shit if you paid me!

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 07/02/2015 08:10

Anyway Valentines Day always coincides with the Six Nations so for 5 out of the 6 years we've been together DH has been somewhere in Europe watching a rugby match!

DeliciousMonster · 07/02/2015 09:44

Really? Then she needs to get a life. I will be going to do some chainsawing at the community garden. As per usual.

WD41 · 07/02/2015 09:49

If my DP went to the cinema to watch that shite, the day would be irrelevant. I'd be more concerned that they'd lost a few brain cells to want to go in the first place.

But if people want to go out with their friends on valentines day, so what. It's all a load of commercial rubbish.

TakeMeUpTheNorthMountain · 07/02/2015 09:54

We dont do Valentines day, never have, never will

Also not a hope I would see that movie! I wouldnt want to be sitting on those cinema chairs after the first showing either!
