Hi I'm looking for some help in choosing a baby boy name, me and my husband already have three girls; Georgiana Lily (Gigi for short) who is 5, and twins Tallulah Eden and Isabelle Darcy (Belle for short) who are 3. We're now expecting baby no 4 who is a boy (due July)

We have no idea what to name him, we like Dylan, Zachary (Zack for short) and Finnlay (Finn for short).

Please can we have opinions? Also suggestions would be appreciated

Thank you

Our shortlist included Rafferty, Ezra, Toby, Teddy, Louis, Otto. I know quite a few Dylan's and Finns so for that reason alone I'd choose Zach from your shortlist.

I've only ever known Finnlay to be spelled that way. I think lovely boy's names are hard to come up with. I like James and Theodore but find all the Harry/ George/ Alfie unoriginal and quite boring.
Maybe when you see him, you'll know. I wanted to call my son Matthew before he was born, my mother gave me a list of names, including Heinz, Piers and Luke. I hated all of them. When I saw him for the first time, it was like 'there's Luke' and so, I named him Luke Smile congratulations, anyway.

I love Sebastian. Also Rafferty, Rowan, Jude, Tristan/Tristram, Gabriel (Gabe for short) and Ezra.

JollyFrog · 06/02/2015 22:55

Raphael, Raffy for nn

"Dylan, Zachary (Zack for short) and Finnlay (Finn for short)."

Call him one of those then, with your second favourite as his middle name.

I don't see how you can possibly have three favourite names and no idea what to call him. It's not a requirement to have a great drama and lists a mile long.

I really like Ezekiel (Zeke) ATM, I also love Theodore and Gabriel.

Malachi is another favourite or Maximillion/Maxim.

Nathaniel (Nate) and Vincent are two names I've heard recently which I liked more than I thought I would. Smile x

Finn is a name on its own and less common than Finlay/Finley which is shortened to Fin.
My dgs is Finn and the only one in his school though there are two Finlays.

minionmadess · 06/02/2015 23:22

Finlay get my vote... I have one, he is known as Finn though.

minionmadess · 06/02/2015 23:29

thegreylady I thought as parents we chose names that we liked for our children, I hadn't realised there was a competition in schools to have the least common name Confused

Ahhhhhofsted81 · 06/02/2015 23:40

I love seb. But dp liked Seth. Love Noah, oscar, Finn, jasper

egnahc · 06/02/2015 23:56

Zack is very common.

thegreylady · 07/02/2015 00:03

I mentioned it because op said she would like to spell Finn with 2 n's and I was saying it was a valid spelling and slightly less usual atm than Finlay/ley. Honestly minion no contest just a comment. Yours was 'uncalled for'.

thegreylady · 07/02/2015 00:06

I like all op's choices and love Finlay too.
