So on a budget and shopping in the lovely Lidl and I thought I'd like a nice bottle of wine. Speciality wines are currently in Lidl and I thought £9.99 (I was looking at other cheap/dear wines within similar price range) would be a very nice wine....my final till bill was more than expected from Lidl but still less than a shop in another store...then I looked at the receipt!! OMG I nearly fell off my chair, the wine I bought was not £9.99 it was £39.99!!!!! So I have celebrated my birthday early along with the Champagne I threw in for good measure thinking I had saved loads of money.... I feel so silly at not noticing the price. For Lidl this is very expensive I feel very duped I am almost tempted to go back to ensure that they did advertise this correctly as I would not have bought such an expensive wine if I saw the price tag...FYI it was very nice and I am considering buying a crate of it when I am rich...

I would of taken it back! You could buy at least 4 bottles for thatShock

I was perusing the receipt whilst consuming the beverage so I doubt they would take it back :-(...at least I had a good excuse for such an expense (birthday soon) and little chance of a present so I have managed to feel better about such an expense...except my birthday is not for a few days and will need to buy some more beverage for the day in question :-)
