being blinded by technical excuses

Renovating a house dh is a builder. Now I am sure if I was a paying customer I would get my ideas listened too. Am increasingly getting the feeling that everytime I suggest something he just doesn't like he give me all sorts of bollocks why its not possible. Just can't prove it sneaky bugger :)

Ha ha, exactly the same happens here. I am sure he gives me a different answer each time too! We discuss a plan of action together, I write it up and he then changes it completely.

Must be why it took us nearly 10 years to finish our extension Grin

You just have to say 'well I know this is impossible but wouldn't xxxxx be really good, trouble is it's just to difficult.....'

Gets them every time :) Also making them think it's their idea helps too.
