...to tell you how to make your own exfoliation substance

Reading the ageing badly thread, I noticed exfoliation mentioned a couple of times. Do NOT buy overpriced exfoliate product. Make your own. So easy and quick!

Figure out the quantities yourself. It is not an exact science. I make up a little pot with more oil than seems necessary but I prefer it that way - slightly wetter. You may prefer more sugar but this makes the substance dryer obviously:

You will need

sugar...if ultra sensitive, use salt
any oil- I use wheatgerm...olive oil will do
essential oil of choice but not necessary

I use roughly a tsp of sugar and then the wheatgerm oil a similar quantity.

Mix and seal in your pot. Use no more than twice a week. In other words don't overdo it. It will slough off all the scuzz. Moisturise straight away. Lovely, soft skin. The pot will last a few weeks.

YABU to shoehorn this into AIBU.

But seeing as no one has any respect Hmm for AIBU...

AIBU to think with oil you're going to slip and crack your head open in the shower?

I just tend to pour old moisturising lotion into the palm of my hand and add sugar to give the right consistency. Then apply before showering Smile

I do this OP. Fine sea salt mixed with olive oil in an old ice cream tub. Can't believe I used to shell out for Soap and Glory when this does the job just as well, maybe better!
