..."manflu" drugs and painkillers?

He's off work for the first time today in 18mnths [and hopefully asleep Wink]

you only need to tap his berserk button quite lightly...

...what?

Danimirj · 03/02/2015 11:52

He hates the ones he's currently prescribed - going back Dr next week, thank heavens

Decongestants and citalopram make his headaches worse, or so he says.

LillyEvans · 03/02/2015 11:57

I don't know what you're talking about and the term "manflu" irks me.

Yabu.

firesidechat · 03/02/2015 12:22

I think you need to explain more clearly.

laughingmyarseoff · 03/02/2015 12:25

Manflu is pretty patronising. If your partner plays up being ill and is lazy then taht's not confined to gender or sex. I've seen plenty of shirkers of both sexes.

What's your AIBU? That he's taking his antidepressants with painkillers? What?

JoanHickson · 03/02/2015 12:26

Leave him to the AD and forget the rest.

rinabean · 03/02/2015 12:27

It's not sensible to stop cold turkey or without telling the doctor but if he feels better so far why not. Citalopram did a whole bunch of annoying > painful things to my entire head region and if it's getting on his tits combined with cold symptoms I sympathise

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 03/02/2015 12:36

I'm on citalopram and have a stinking cold. The pharmacist told me it's really not safe to take decongestants at the same time. Maybe that's part of the problem?

Danimirj · 03/02/2015 13:00

rinabean

EmpressOfJurisfiction

thank you for that, sometimes wonder what the medication does to DH head.

he was on sertraline for a long time but that stopped working

DH is hardly ever sick, or at least rarely takes sick leave, not even for depression, so if he does its for something 'untrivial', as he calls it...

will ask pharmacist for advice whilst picking up beloved from PS

There are very few posts on this thread that I understand.

Nomama · 03/02/2015 15:45

Moving swiftly on...

Coumarin · 03/02/2015 15:53

So Thecat is apparently the OP's DH who she started the thread about?

NoImSpartacus · 03/02/2015 15:56

wtf

BuzzardBird · 03/02/2015 15:59

Right. FB is for spouses that need to talk to each other and can't use the power of speech. Hmm

JoanHickson · 03/02/2015 16:00

The DH is posting? Confused

SandorClegane · 03/02/2015 16:01

"There are very few posts on this thread that I understand."

Me too, it's been baffling and weird from that start.

Gruntfuttock · 03/02/2015 16:15

the start I mean.

JoanHickson · 03/02/2015 16:44

What language is that?

BuzzardBird · 03/02/2015 16:50

My guess is Serbian Joan

BuzzardBird · 03/02/2015 16:51

It means "My husband loves me really".

BuzzardBird · 03/02/2015 16:53

Welcome to MN Dani are you enjoying it? :)
