I am ill - is it unreasonable to stay in bed

Dh is at work. Kids are with MIL. Feeling guilty as MIL has a cold as well, but my throat is killing me...

Of course its not unreasonable. You're ill, you need to rest. Get in that bed. Hope you feel better soon

Ahhh thanks. I think I can man up and feel better and then I get up, and think no I can't. Everyone round here has had some bug of some sort but i like feel like a wuss for not powering through...

Nope. I'm ill and still in bed. I do have a sleeping cat on my lap keeping me warm and a stack of snotty tissues next to me though...

If you rest, and sleep, you will get better more quickly. Drink plenty of fluids and take paracetamol if it hurts.

My DD is at my mums and I am meant to be working n my dissertation. However I feel rotten and have just been asleep on the sofa for 2 hours. I don't know if YABU, but I am right there with you.

Get into bed now! You have a few hours to get better

I'm off sick today too, and so far I've changed the beds and put on two washes and been MNetting

I will be lying down shortly and closing my eyes, after taking my antibiotic [yuk]

Thanks other ill people for making me feel better. we are currently undergoing a massive house refurb, so have been eating at MIL's practically every night for 2 weeks so feeling extra guilty she now has my kids today as well....

So do you feel quite stressed with it all as well?

That always makes me feel under par.
