Series Three?

*Chandler and Joey get the chick and duck
*Ross reveals what a controlling bastard he is
*the others getting trapped in Monicas bedroom listening to R&R argue
*The One Where They Are All Late - were Ross is trying to get them all to his works dinner on time
*Pete successfully wooing Monica
*Monicas fake boobs and hair
*Chandler and Phoebe's conversation about why it is SpiderMAN and not Spidermun

I could go on.

It is the best of all ten series.Fact.

Yes, Jen's biggest annoyance is probably the endless stories casting her as deserted wife. She looks to have a pretty good time of it.
I do like series three. But then I also like the later series as I like Monica and Chandler together. The run where they're trying to keep their relationship secret and then it comes out 'My eyes!' then Rachel and Phoebe set a trap 'They don't know that we know that they know that we know!' is good.

londonrach · 31/01/2015 07:47

Second series

londonrach · 31/01/2015 07:51

Also back off re paul rudd. I saw him first. I love clueless just to see him....

Vivacia · 31/01/2015 07:51

We call them seasons here. For us the whole show is the series, with individual seasons.

Where is this "here" you refer to? Here in your house? Here on MN? Here in the UK?

curiousgeorgie · 31/01/2015 07:53

I was going to address that too.. They all seem pretty happy to me.

They've all gone on to have fairly good careers after friends too.. Which is unusual. They've all had at least one hit.

orangefusion · 31/01/2015 07:54

My cats are named chick and duck :)

louwn · 31/01/2015 07:59

Ooh EternalBeau I LOVE the pivot episode!

avocadoadvantage · 31/01/2015 08:04

Still love Friends! Chandler was always my favourite but I could never work out how Ross got so many women to marry him!

"My wallet's too small for my fifties and my diamond shoes are too tight!"
"Here come the meat sweats"

The episode where Chandler goes to Joey's tailor and is measured for pants. And we all say "Joey doesn't share food" in this house!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 31/01/2015 09:24

"Grandma's chicken salad" Grin

And when Phoebe asks Rachel to help her get one of the Triplets after they are born.

Anyone seen "Object of my Affection" with Paul Rudd and JA? Amazing film!

I've been off sick these last couple of weeks and been watching Friends on Comedy Central. Love it!

The quiz one was on this week - "paper, snow, a ghost!"

I also love the Monica / Chandler relationship one.
They don't know we know they know.

Joey, do they know we know?
Joey.....?
They know you know

Love it.

Ross's leather pants and the talc. And the fake tan. "One Mississippi, two Mississippi

And the backpacking story "when I was backpacking in" which originated through a friend of Rachel's from "some Guy" and Joey was"some Guy!"

Friends is just perfect comfort telly. I love it and regularly just have on in background whilst I'm ironing etc

Cadenza1818 · 31/01/2015 09:49

All I can say is 'monica and chandler, monica and chandler. Aah my eyes!' having watched friends every day from age 12-23 I actually put myself on a detox when I got married . Mn I blame you for me falling off the wagon!

42notTrendy · 31/01/2015 10:01

When Rachel finds out she is pregnant at Monica's wedding. "Oooo that's a risky little game"
When they work out who the father is with the red jumper.
When they find out who came onto who.
When Rachel is in labour.
What series is that?! Grin

CundtBake · 31/01/2015 10:11

I just can't pick. I frickin love friends.

'You know the baby can't read, Mike!'

'Are you in there little foetus? In 9 months will you come meet us? I will buy you some adidas'

'O is for OH MY!'

'You count Mississippilessly?!'

clam · 31/01/2015 10:22

Dunno which series I prefer, but I hate, hate, HATE the later ones where Monica becomes shrill and a caricature and Ross starts over-acting like mad.

Trills · 31/01/2015 10:43

How can you remember which bits are which series?

It a blurs together for me now.

TwiggyHeart · 31/01/2015 10:51

Series 8 for me, watched the whole thing back to back on Comedy Central whilst in labour with my DD1, got to the end and was 10cm, every time I watch it I now it reminds me of that day!

Lweji · 31/01/2015 10:57

I am now watching them all back to back on TV and loving them all over again.
Don't care what series/season it is.

There was one in a beach house, which was all about Ross and Rachel (the one with the long letter) but where Monica and Chandler almost get together. Ahhhh. I wonder if the script writers were already planning London.

HouseBaelish · 31/01/2015 11:00

The proposal episode "there's a reason girls don't do this" makes me cry.

The birth episode "Chandler you're panicking" "uh huh, join me won't you?"

I actually love the whole thing from beginning to end. About the only thing I can watch and watch again.

Lweji · 31/01/2015 11:01

The most cringe worthy episode right now (at least for me) will have to be the one where Monica's high school fat friend goes to the Thanksgiving dinner. You know, the one who hated Rachel...

littleleftie · 31/01/2015 11:06

Terrified of outing self but here goes.........

I am a college lecturerd and I find I regularly litter my lectures with Friends quotes and anecdotes.

This week I was teaching an aircraft engineer as part of a Health and Safety lecture, and we were talking about the mistakes people can make it they are tired. So of course, I say, "So, Kevin could make a mistake and there would be something wrong with the Left Phlange!!"

I swear only one person in the class got it and I looked like a fool Blush

As you were.............

ILikeToClean · 31/01/2015 11:07

Dd's are currently watching the box sets and loving it as much as I do! Love the earlier seasons, once Rachel has the baby it becomes more soap opera and annoying, didn't buy the joey liking her storyline and the woman who only dated Nobel prize winners, but seasons 2,3 and 4 were amazing! Loved Ross and Rachel together and the "break", the girls losing their apartment and "they don't know that we know".

CiderRules · 31/01/2015 11:08

Series 6 has The Routine and Unagi though. And Monica and Chandler getting engaged. And "this is not a marriage! This is the world's worst hangover!"

CharityD · 31/01/2015 11:08

I'm the same. It's my comfort tv. I have so many favourites that I can't pick one series over another. I love when I have watched some of the later stuff, to then go right back and watch the first series.
I love Phoebe's wedding, Joey doing the ballroom dancing, Joey's tailor, the flashback one, 'pivot! pivot! shut up shut up', the one where Ross and Rachel are talking about who would get the child, if anything happened to them...
Just loads of them really.

I love Richard, Mike, Janice, The Geller parents, especially the dad, and Rachel's sister, 'no falafel for you' Grin.

littleleftie · 31/01/2015 11:11

lweji I love that one! Cos I can drool over Brad at his best.

I love the ones with Christina Applegate as Amy.

She is just so self centred and awful she cracks me up.

Lweji · 31/01/2015 11:14

Don't get me wrong. I love Chad in it. Grin (although I do have a soft spot for Mike - I'd marry him)

And love Christina Applegate too.
