to ask what strange dreams you have had during pregnancy?

during my pregnancy i have had a few odd dreams. i have dreamt i have birth to a leg. i was very proud of this leg and had it in a pram walking about very happy. but then i was quite upset when people where talking about me behinde my back saying my leg was weird.

i also dreamt that i was taken to a torture hospital to give birth. i had a mask put on my face so tight that my face exploded. and then there was a man talking into a tv camera as it was a documentary about how people are treated in torture hospitals.

so wondering what other people have dreamt

I dreamt I gave birth to Labrador puppies, one gold one chocolate.

I also repeatedly dreamt I lost the baby and kept finding him/ her in random cupboards.

One of my cats had a snake collar when the eyes were green it was fine this was at the start of the dream then the eyes turned red she kept making people kill themselves because "she requested it" she also had a giant secret evil hide out in my coat cupboard
There were lots other things she made people do but its not a nice dream so don't want to say
it was reoccurring for most of the first and second trimesters really freaked me out, third trimester i had mild insomnia instead

I dreamt there had been some cataclysmic world event, people were fighting for survival. I was having to hide my pregnancy because somehow I believed in the dream she'd be taken away (horrible) but so I could become some sort of prime milk cow (?!).

At 7 months pregnant, I dreamt that I gave birth to sextuplets. I was running up and down a line of cots in a panic, trying to remember which ones I had fed. I was relieved when my single baby arrived a few weeks later.

A memorable dream about Spencer Mathews from MIC. It was debauched. Definitely pregnancy hormones.

I dreamt that I gave birth to the inner cardboard roll of a kitchen roll which then turned into Beaker from the Muppets. It was 15 yrs ago but I still remember it vividly!

I had a dream the other night (I'm 27 weeks pregnant) that I gave birth to a baby girl who said her first word almost straight away... which was "grandma". And then she was talking all the time and telling me I was a useless mother and that grandma was much better than me Sad

I dreamt that someone broke in my house and harmed me and the unborn.

It was quite frightening.

I had a recurring dream that my baby had the mind of an adult, but I still had to breastfeed it. Lots of variations on that... It was weird.

oh god where to start?

I dreamt I had my 'baby' but he came out as an octopus, which I cooked and ate with rice. Confused I remember it being really tasty in the dream. I was v. relieved to wake up and still see I had a bump!

Others included losing the baby and forgetting where I left him, only to find him a few days later (again was pleased when I woke up from this one)

My mum told me she had a cracker of a nightmare, where I'd had the baby and she came to see us, she asked where he was to have a cuddle, and I'd shoved him back inside myself!!! She said 'why did you do that?!!' and I'd said in the dream 'you can do that with boys' apparently. Jesus that was disturbing to hear about, even second hand!

My dreams are always seriously weird, whether pregnant or not, so I can't remember any that stood out any more than normal Grin

They can be all over the place and can often be really fun.

I dreamed I had the baby and literally as soon as she was born we were packed off to go home. Me and DP were crying trying to tell the staff we didn't know how to care for a baby but they just kept standing there and waving....

Also had several filthy sex dreams involving various men in my team at work. Spent most of my pregnancy staring at my desk trying to avoid whoever had featured the night before Grin

I dreamed that I gave birth to kittens and was nursing them. It was very real, I could feel their sharp little kitten claws digging into me.

I dreamed my 68 year old mum had given birth and forgotten to mention it. I went over for a visit, she thrust a baby into my arms and said " OI, Silver, here's your new sis, I need a cig, back in a minute".

I dreamed that I was having a duck. This was a problem as the webbed feet meant it wouldn't go down my birth canal so I would have to have a c section. I was FAR more concerned about the c section than the fact I was pregnant with a fecking duck.

With my first I had a dream that I was eating hotdogs. Unfortunately I'd gone to sleep on my arm and the lovely, juicy, hotdog turned out to be my own forefinger. I discovered this when I bit it with a force usually reserved for mama bears protecting their cubs. I cried and dh laughed until he cried.

  • Gave birth to a winnie the pooh teddy
  • Drove a Delorean through my home town and ended up in a Wild West shootout.
  • Lived in a house haunted by a possessed plastic unicorn that wanted to kill us.
  • Me, DP and some friends were being chase around a submarine by machine gun wielding giant lobsters dressed as sailors.

I had a filthy but great dex dream about a bloke I work with.
I had to check that it was my then DH in bed when I woke up disappointed
Fortunately, the aforementioned bloke was on holiday for a week so I'd gotten over some embarrassment when he returned. I told him I'd dreamed about him and he said "was i good?" Hahaha mind blowing

I dreamed that I miscarried but the baby was in the toilet and it was a white jellybaby...then I found more jellybabies. This all happened on Good Friday, but I was relieved when I woke up as I was never going to be pregnant at Easter (unless I had the world's longest gestation)

I had a few that the baby was born talking in full sentences like Stewie from Family Guy.

Had one that I woke up in a hospital bed and the baby had been born without me having any recollection of the birth, in the dream I was traumatised by this and the baby felt weird and alien to me despite being a normal newborn. (Luckily nothing of this happened in real life)

Also when I was pregnant:

My friend dreamt that my baby was a bird and I named it "B"

My mum dreamt that I gave birth and the baby was a hair clip.

In my terrifying, recurrent pregnancy dream, I gave birth to a giant egg that hatched into a dragon.
